Turkey Legs

You can find them in MGM at the stands near RnR and ToT, across from the Beauty and the Beast show as well as in the MK in Frontierland (i believe). And yes they are that good, I had my doubts before i tried one last year. They are AMAZING, they taste like good juicy turkey with hamy( i know thats not even a word) or smoked hamish overtones. I don't eat turkey on thanksgiving or anything and I LOVED my WDW turkey leg.

The one at MGM by RnRC is called Toluca Legs Turkey Co.
And yes.. They are great, DH & DS eat them almost every day we are there.
I think every park has them, but I don't know the exact locations anywhere but at MGM.:)

There is one at almost every park. My husband I used to make fun of people who ate these.......that's until we tried one!!!! We absolutely love them. My husband gets better about deboning them each year. He does all the work, and I just sit and eat!

We find them tasty. We don't eat many count services meals for just this reason. But we have at least one or two turkey leg lunches a trip.

I have heard folks complain at about the food at California Grill and it's on our top 3 places to eat.

To each their own!

Sorry, but count my wife & I amongst those who find them too salty for our liking.

But we DID try them.

So don't necessarily take our word for it. Though I would suggest, if more than one member of your party are curious about them, to share one at first. If you wind up loving it, no law against buying another (and another). But if you wind up NOT liking them, at least you didn't spend money on (and wasting) 2 of them.

count me as an odd ball ... but I dont like them! They gross me out ... ick! I swear one trip I thought I smelt turkey leg for weeks after! I thought someone had snuck one in my car or something! lol!! :ROFLOL: :ROFLOL:

Where are they found, and are they really that good? Thanks!

I had my first Turkey Leg out of desperation (due to the lack of food choices) at the Pirate and Princess Party. I didn't hate it nor did I love it. It was definitely cooked right, but I found the massive hunk of meat to be heavy (in more than one way). Also, I recieved several grease/oil burns (nothing severe) on my wrist from the dripping product that I desperatly held upright in my hand. Turkey Legs are all about you really. If you are into that kind of food (or you have a traditional tendency to eat that style of food) then you will enjoy it. If you enjoy finer, more lean and comfortable foods, then the Turkey Leg isn't for you. I eat on both sides of the fence, eating loads at barbecues but on the other hand, genuinly critiquing the finer foods with my extremely seasoned palate (that I have no clue how I inherited). I don't think I will be buying a Turkey Leg again, probably sticking to the classic chicken tenders at the Magic Kingdom. If I'm in the mood for some "better" food, I'll go grab a nosh at Tony's (with some amazing sun dried tomato dip). Hope that helps!

The first one I ever had was way too salty for my tastes, but I haven't had another one like that since. I definitely couldn't do them once a day, but a friend and I do have a tradition of grabbing a turkey leg, some drinks and a spot at Epcot and spending an hour or so eating and chatting while waiting for Illuminations.

Of course, that's usually followed by a quick trip into France for some chocolate mousse. :ROFLOL: :slurp:

I made sure to have one on what I thought might be my last trip to WDW for a while...just so I could say I had one. DH and I shared. It was ok. I'm not saying I would never have one again, but...I'd rather have a proper meal in an Epcot restaurant!!

They are smoked turkey legs, which accounts for the saltiness, the "hammy" taste, and the pervasive smell. If you like smoked meats - especially smoked turkey - you will like them. I love em. :slurp:

Yeah, I'm definitely into less fine, less lean food, but I think a turkey leg is pretty darn comfortable!
