TTA Refurbishment on schedule?

The normal audio narration track was working last night... Mr. Morrow and all

To confirm, when you say normal audio narration, you are referring to the 2007 Mike Brassell narration, correct? Because I and many others, associate the "Paging Mr. Morrow" line to the 1994 onward narration, not the newest one. Hence why everyone had such a fit when the Disney Parks Facebook page posted a photo of the TTA ride vehicle with that very same line.

TTA has it's full audio back in operation as it was prior to the refurb (and the one most people dislike). The exit ramp was still not working today, but I have heard that it is getting close to returning. Even with that good news, the ride still has had a rough week with lots of downtimes every single day.

I found out more of what actually did get done with this refurbishment.
-1st Level (Launching Pad) Concrete Ceiling Completely Replaced
-1st Level (Launching Pad) Lighting Upgrade
-1st Level (Launching Pad) Concrete Work at Entry Turnstile for Communication Lines
-2nd Level (TTA Station) Flooring Completely Resurfaced
-2nd Level (TTA Station) Underside of Rotating Platform Cleaned Out
-2nd Level (TTA Station) Main Console Reworked with New Button
-2nd Level (TTA Station) Fire Alarms Installed on Ceiling in Station and Throughout Track)
-2nd Level (TTA Station) Some Trains Received Fresh Paint (Same Color)
-2nd Level (TTA Station) New Surveillance Monitors
-2nd Level (TTA Station) Rounded Edge of Ceiling Edge Completely Replaced
-Whole Structure Fresh Paint

Hooray! Another refurb that TDO totally botched! And while I don't think the red pillars look too bad, the orange escalator looks hideous. Looks like it should belong in Nickelodeon land or something.

This is seriously getting ridiculous.

Back on the forums after a being in Canada for a few days...
Same narration as prior to the refurb, 2007 track
So we have the 1994 audio? I'm totally confused..

Btw I think the red and orange colors look completely out of place and totally ridiculous! Unless the manage to paint TLand to those colors, the TTA and StarJets platform is going to stick out like a sore thumb.

Nope same newer awful one prior to this refurb.

They had me at the red, but totally lost me at the orange. EW. Maybe it's a "looks better in person" thing? Are they adding plants to the mulch next to the escalator? It doesn't help the orange that the inside walls of the escalator are still blue. It just looks bad together. The red itself was fine (maybe a bit too much but the color itself works well, IMO).

Now I'm not sure how I feel about the aquamarine colored Lunching Pad but at least the red pillars and the light bluegreen building stand out a lot more. Not in a terrible way, but they stand out more.

The audio was cutting out when I rode it yesterday around 7 pm. The cuts are pretty abrupt. I think the orange is a bizarre choice.

It had poured a little earlier and the exit ramp was wet and slippery. I saw a few people stumble. I'm glad the ride was operational but I'm surprised they're letting people walk down that ramp.

At what point will so-called Disney fans stop complaining about projects that are clearly not finished? Half of RocketTower Plaza is still wrapped in tarps and construction walls and Astro Orbiter hasn't been re-installed. How about waiting until the project is 'complete' before rushing in with the negative judgement?

URRRRG... they are not Escalators, they are speedramps; no steps, smooth ramp
It doesn't matter, speed ramps (even completely flat ones) are never considered as part of the accessible path, which is why attractions like HM and SSE have to completely stop so often for loading, and why airports always have a regular walkway available next to a moving walking

Additionally, these ones are too narrow for a wheelchair (36" minimum clearance) and exceed the maximum allowable angle. Given that the angle is dictated by what will fit inside the rotating turntable, there's no realistic way to make the ramp flat enough to allow accessibility, and an elevator to the exterior side of the platform is unrealistic with the operating requirements

And for what it's worth, I like the new color scheme (though I can't speak for how well it blends in with the surroundings). I reminds me of the original orange and colors on the Space Needle during the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. Given the architectural similarities between the 2 structures, I think it makes perfect sense

Rode the TTA Saturday and it looks like the cars also got their seat covers replaced and someone went in and washed all the windows finally. And as stated earlier the cars look like they have been given a fresh coat of paint. Other than that, it was all the same.

There is a lot of orange going on there with the speed-ramps. I have nothing against the orange, but the speed-ramps are just an ugly shape to start with (sort of resembling a tongue) Why would they highlight that? I hope the paint job continues and they turn those walls into something more pleasing to the eye. Disney's the best at illusion, they have no excuses for leaving it the way it is.

Lovely: more awful, lifeless, unimagined, vacuous, obvious, wimpy, flavorless, purely commercial, sucky, no good, rotten, beige, sleepy, envy the deaf, turn off your hearing aid Grandpa, this stinks, yeah "out of this world" my foot, why bother going, nothing to see here, nothing to hear here narration. Has greater mediocrity ever been perpetrated on a populace? I think not, at least not such mediocrity that could be so easily easily easily "just flip the switch already" replaced.

Thus ends today's rant.
