TTA Refurbishment on schedule?

At what point will so-called Disney fans stop complaining about projects that are clearly not finished? Half of RocketTower Plaza is still wrapped in tarps and construction walls and Astro Orbiter hasn't been re-installed. How about waiting until the project is 'complete' before rushing in with the negative judgement?
Agreed. Why waste the complaints when they still have plenty of time to make it even worse.

TTA was down most of today so far and just now opened. There was a crew replacing the exit ramp. It is still not on though.

Geez this paint job is awful... and honestly, during the summer, this orange/red feeling is going to make the area seem hotter than it already is!

Here's a couple shots I took last night for what it's worth. Of course, I didn't actually get to ride it because it was down. We came by around 9pm and they had CM's standing blocking it off and I asked if it was going to be back up that evening and they said, "we're working on it" but they had no ETA. I rode Carousel of Progress and it was still down about a half hour later after we were done with CoP and we moved on. Not sure if it ever came back up.

color scheme is starting to grow on me, def has more 'substance' than the previous purple/silver scheme - less buzz lightyear future, more sci fi future in my opinion . Just not sure about the blue panels in the escalator - blue molded plastic has an 80's feel to it - are there any plans to pop those out? Those are basically the same molded color as the cockpit plastic panels of the Airbus A320 - very much a late 80's/early 90's design.

I think all this red/orange color scheme would go well if they could incorporate clean white and black into the space somehow. Think Star Trek reboot (2009 and 2013 files), though it would be hard to keep clean with all the traffic:

How about Disney not reopening an attraction that's not show ready?

Was at MK this past Saturday and around 3pm I noticed tons of people walking on the peoplemover track. I made my way to the entrance of TTA. I asked a cast member if the ride would be back up later in the evening or the next day and they stated that it was down and that maintenance was repairing.

I agree 100% but you are missing out on the obvious. That rational thinking doesn't fly well on these boards.

Hi!
I'm from the UK and I'm visiting WDW just over 3 weeks away, myself and my dad are literally getting off the plane and heading to Magic Kingdom. The TTA is one of our favourites as its one of those rides which is enjoyable seeing what there is to see of Tomorrowland but also a relaxing 10 min sit down after a busy day! I'm checking literally every day on the app to see what the queues are and that, like what to expect when we arrive but I have noticed the TTA has been down for a couple of days, after reading on here it has been opened again.

Anyone have an idea why it is shut? From the looks of this site it has only really been repainted so I don't see how it could effect the actual ride?

Thanks! :happy::happy:

For something that just came out of a "refurb" this is just embarrassing. I DESPERATELY hope the problem doesn't get so bad that they just shut it down and we end up with an empty track like Disneyland's. Please fix this TDO!!!!!!

I wasn't aware that TTA was actually getting a refurb during this recent downtime. I thought it was only the station area clean-up and that was just because it needed to be shut down while they removed the Astro Orbiter with the crane and then the painting in the area.
