Ground work is one of the longest and most boring parts of any job.... I just built a 10K square foot addition for loading docs and the ground work on this little project was the entire time line and it took 9 months to complete and it is just warehouse space... Sad but we dont know what all has to be done on these projects to get the pads ready for this.... Not making excuses but reality

Site prep is really the easy part. It’s being done now because it can so easily overlap with design work.

If you say so... but to get a pad ready for construction and to pour the floor is a big job... It takes a long time and you dont see much progress until steel goes up... To me pad ready site ready is when all underground utility work is done and site is ready for foundation to be dug out framed and poured...

Yes, and all of that work is being done while design work continues on the rest of the building.

You're both incorrect. All they needed to do was fly a helicopter over to Japan and hit CTRL C and then fly to WDW and hover over the area near SM and hit CTRL V and....Boom! I mean it's a clone, right? Who needs core borings or civil work or structures re-engineered or ADA compliance upheld or.....anything that prevents fans from riding TRON!!!!
If only it were this easy.

Just standing in Tomorrowland will give you a good view. Or, walking up to it.

Yeah... the lack of buzz and slow construction makes me wonder. Is this going to be one of those projects where they suddenly just take down the construction walls and say, "Never mind. Move along. Nothing to see here..." (Sorta like the theater on Main Street)

Do we actually know for a fact that when they were designing the new ride they did not also pre configure everything to be also built in the US? I mean, with the frequency of clone building, you would think they would have just had the Shanghai version be designed to fit compliance in all countires the ride could be used... I mean, it is not like they are starting from the ground up all over again with the design... Yes, site changes but most likely not everything....You're both incorrect.
