News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

I do agree about the kinetics and I haven't put any thought behind the reroute of the tracks, but this is my basic point, if you're walking in through the hub, there are three tracks blocking your vision of tron. Unfortunately Tron is in the worst spot you could think of!

Here's what I had in mind for the tracks if I was doing this. May Astro isn't exactly where CoP is now but whatever.

Oddly enough, the original plans for the PeopleMover did call for it to cross over the speedway like that

IF they built a new space mountain like japan, i doubt they would include people mover tracks and shorten the track, expanding sight lines a lot

How they could look at that image and put rectangular boxes in that space baffles me. It was designed with circles not jarring angles.

I personally prefer a land that is layered, that forces you to dive in, explore, and find things.

The placement of Tron does not bother me at all. I just worry about the walkway between autopia and the gift shop.
How is worry different from being bothered? And what layers did they add. The incredibly expensive canopy is it. Beyond is just a warehouse.

Space Mountain includes maintenance facilities for the PeopleMover. The idea of reducing another attraction to fix the problems created by the hurried, poor planning a project that cost hundreds of millions of dollars is ridiculous.

The layer is adding Tron to the back, behind the PeopleMover, Autopia, etc. It's not some prominent weenie, but will be pretty cool to see as you get closer and closer.

The discussion in here was that the PeopleMover being in front, is an issue, and I don't agree.

I agree.
It's not important for me to see it all from afar.
Walking in, and around and having a reveal is sometimes better for me.

If you believe the rumors that when Splash Mountain closes, TRON will open, I have some news for you:

Looks what's going to be up and running during MVMCP (I know: subject to change)

I believe Splash will close early 2023 like after MLK, and then reopening for summer 2024.

It would definitely be a fast turn around, but it’s more than do-able.

I don't think that was necessarily the rumor - If I recall correctly, the idea was that Splash wouldn't close until after TRON was open, not that it would close when TRON opens. It seems reasonable to suspect that they would both want to get TRON running smoothly and wait out the busy Holiday period before taking Splash offline.

Generally Splash gets a healthy refurb each January right after the Marathon weekend - if I had to guess, it probably won't close for the transformation any sooner than that. I know nothing about when they actually plan to close it for the reworking, but if the goal really is to reopen it in 2024 then a mid-January 2023 closure wouldn't surprise me.
