If this is open by November I'll be thrilled!
I won't be satisfied until this list includes normal parkhopping.I think it's going to be August, between Tron, Moana water feature, RoundUp BBQ, the MK train, new Nemo Show in AK and possibly even the return of the DDP for August. They know its the last peak time for travel before the 51st anniversary hits, and want to give the 50th a good sendoff. Yes, the 50th celebration will continue for 6 months past the 51st anniversary, but spiritually , everyone knows the true 50th ends Sept 30th.
Tron currently is where Guardians was in early March. Up and running two months later. If we were to match progress and predict, that puts Tron at a July preview, and likely open by August. Moana seems to be moving fast now that there are no other projects ongoing at Epcot, I'd imagine a massive water feature would be planned for a peak summer opening also. =)I'm pretty sure they are aware how lackluster the 50th Celebration has been. Opening Cosmic Rewind, Tron, WDW Railroad and Moana Journey of Water within this year would be a great redeeming factor. With how things are going, Tron, WDW Railroad and Moana could open by EPCOT's 40th in October.
TRON isn’t that far along.Tron currently is where Guardians was in early March. Up and running two months later. hm no. There is a lot of things to do outside Tron. For Moana, it's worse imhoTron currently is where Guardians was in early March. Up and running two months later. If it wasn't , they wouldn't be doing full speed testing with dummies at this stage. We will know by the end of May. I expect most if not all the paving and outside walkway walls to be up.TRON isn’t that far along.
Yeah I wouldn't think so for August. Seems like an October 1 opening is very possible though at this point.TRON isn’t that far along.
They can keep it closed all the way through October for all I care. Another headliner attraction (with Guardians) is just going to bring in more and more people during our trip. LOLYeah I wouldn't think so for August. Seems like an October 1 opening is very possible though at this point.
Maybe they turn the store into queue?Just popping in to say “the 50th”
Is one of the most disappointing things they’ve ever done. I get it, pandemic probably messed up a lot, but jeezus even the banners are lame!
Onto TRON, I apologize I haven’t kept up with this thread, but what’s the deal with the pesky Light & Power Co building blocking the main route to the attraction. That’s going to be a disaster for guest flow.
Was wondering that. Or maybe it becomes the exit for both space and tron?Maybe they turn the store into queue?
The TRON building already has queue space inside. Virtual queues negate the need for a lot of overflow queue space.Maybe they turn the store into queue?
How do you know when Cosmic Rewind started ride testing? If it wasn't , they wouldn't be doing full speed testing with dummies at this stage. We will know by the end of May. I expect most if not all the paving and outside walkway walls to be up.
Even ignoring what's going on inside, the outside looks nowhere near the level of completion we saw for Cosmic Rewind in March. If a comparison can even be drawn, I'd say it's more along the lines of being in a state similar to the Cosmic Rewind of November, when significant concrete and facade work still remained. How do you know when Cosmic Rewind started ride testing?
Sure. And they could certainly open TRON by Thanksgiving if they want (not sure they do).Even ignoring what's going on inside, the outside looks nowhere near the level of completion we saw for Cosmic Rewind in March. Tell me you know nothing about coasters without telling me you know nothing about coasters. If it wasn't , they wouldn't be doing full speed testing with dummies at this stage. We will know by the end of May. I expect most if not all the paving and outside walkway walls to be up.
Indeed. And Cosmic Rewind has been testing for several months now. We just can’t see that.Tell me you know nothing about coasters without telling me you know nothing about coasters.
VelociCoaster at Universal was testing in December 2020. It soft opened in May and opened in June 2021.
If Tron is testing now, in April 2022, and if we apply the same timetable to Tron that Universal used on VelociCoaster, Tron will soft open in September and open in October 2022.
This doesn’t mean Tron will open in October, but this isn’t opening in July or August.
So its ok to compare the timetable of Velocicoaster to Tron, but not Guardians of the Galaxy to Tron? Riiiight. You do know Universal is owned by Comcast - the bottom rung of efficiency in the entertainment and technological world, right?. Comcast can't Disney.
