Disney has shared these photos as WDI puts the finishing touches on the TRON Lightcycle / Run post-show.

Use the > on the right to move through the slides.

This looks much nicer and more modern than the actual ride queue (which I guess makes sense because it was designed about 12 years later).

I don’t think there’s been enough discussion here about how bad the graphics are in the queue (and now apparently the post show).
I’ve brought it up here a few weeks ago but I don’t think anyone else here has. The worst offenders are the still art along the walls… way way too cluttered, with outlines around everything. Looks jarringly dated.

I strongly dislike that entire switch back area and I think a major part of it is those graphics. Very 2005 feeling. They really could have done so much more with that space.
Are they screenzz?
Nope. Posters.

"Dated" is part of the theme of both Tron and Tomorrowland isn't it? Retro-future, yesterday's concept of the future. If so this theming would be on-point. Or do you mean the art is too modern looking for the theme?

Appears no re-rides so far as the first APs go through.

We asked multiple cast members and they all said one ride only. I understand the reasoning but I was still a little disappointed. Overall, it’s a fun ride but obviously short. As a fan of the franchise, I really want to spend more time in the grid. Unlike Cosmic Rewind, I would not spend the money for Lightning Lane for this.

Well, there are pretty important differences between “retro-future” and “dated.” Retro-future is so beyond a dated vision of the future that it leans into a certain nostalgia people have. For example, the Tomorrowland sign replacement:

Also, there’s nothing retro about the blue lights along the walls in the queue, the launch room, the light cycles themselves, or really any part of the attraction, so even art that’s consistent with the retro-future style of the land marquee and Space Mountain would be out of place. Art that looks like it’s from 2005 (but worse) makes even less sense.

Now for real posting: It's pretty good. The launch is really fun but the whole ride is short. I think I prefer Guardians at Epcot but it's a solid addition to Magic Kingdom.

Oh and the locker system is very clever.

Thanks for these great pics!

I do feel like going with the full white for the Canopy was a mistake, it looks so gray and drab in full daylight. Even just a slight hint of blue like they have in Shanghai would have made a difference.
