Oh yeah it is a fun ride no question about it, I just picture the wait times in my head haha. Same thing if they ever added Raging Spirits to WDW lol.

I know its a dead concept, but it would at least be a visual standout in that land. I just think that area needs something akin to Excavator or Everest instead of a building taking that spot.
I still believe one day they’ll build my version of nemesis at Alton towers in a fake Ulura In the Australia land…
…based on no evidence whatsoever

Play Pavilion is the easiest addition if they need something new. And there are several entertainment options. But as for large, new builds, considering how much Iger is dismantling Chapek’s plans, it’s hard to say. I presume Poppins is now fully-dead. Those blue sky DAK and MK ideas might have flown out the window, too. I presume Iger would be more interested in a Pandora addition.
We have the Little Mermaid show building in DHS. Universal would be able to recycle the attraction in under a year. Disney maybe 3-5 years.

Wasn't Mary Poppins suppose to be something like a carousel? Shouldn't take that long or that much $$$.

Based on construction timelines?

Impossible.

We are at 2028 if somebody puts up a podium and makes an announcement right now.

This is another “legacy” of Iger…building for appearances and not for completion.

Tron clone is 5 years on…it was a clone.

Maybe not the sexiest of additions, but there is a swath of entertainment that could be panic added if they need things to market in 2025. DHS has several shows that could be replaced.

If they really want to make the fanboys weak in the knees without actually adding a ride... they could add a *gasp* night parade.

But I do agree 2025 is exceedingly going to be missing a ride unless something was already underway.

Common sense dictates that they have to do something…

…but Iger hasn’t really operated that way. At least when it comes to anything resembling moderate to longterm planning

Chapek is leading a special task force to “find the money” for that 🙄

That was actually said outloud on a hot mic

I agree on cooling down the coaster builds for a sec. After GotG and Tron, I think FL needs some dark rides and smaller rides for kids, esp in DHS and AK. But whatever they do it couldnt really be worse than whats currently going on in DinoLand I suppose
I get the “hit some doubles” / build a C/D-ticket attraction but I fear the budgets have exploded so much that any new build has to justify ILL revenues or increased attendance, rather than being a people eater to increase capacity.

I totally agree with the second part of your statement, that with budgets the way they are, new builds should be about increased revenue, either through LL or increased attendance.

That being said, I think you could build along the lines of RotR or FoP, definitely highlight LL attractions, but that aren't a roller coaster and don't have major height restrictions.

Was going to say the same thing -- doesn't have to be a roller coaster to draw big crowds.

A new ride using the Shanghai Pirates system would be a hit, as would other attractions on the scale of RotR. Even the Beauty and the Beast trackless ride from Tokyo (despite its flaws) would probably be a massive draw.
