Yep. Which isn't anywhere close to feeling like you're on an actual motorcycle...like this.

Start at 1:31 if the time-stamp doesn't work.

The riders legs are clearly sticking out behind them as they lean forward to grasp the handlebar.

So we're comparing different motorcycle styles. Harley VS Japanese style.

If WDW is so determined to drag-and-drop copies of rides into the parks, why can’t we get Shanghai’s Pirates, or Tokyo’s Monsters or Sinbad, or Mystic Manor? How did we get saddled with the two least exciting carbon copies possible? I mean, that doesn’t even seem like a cost-cutting issue!

It is because coasters cost a lot less and Rat's media was done. Both having a balance of outside IP and low cost to build.

If only we could have gotten a Mystic Manor but themed for Animal Kingdom's mythical animals.

On Hagrid's:
  • You are in a regular seat designed for a humans rear end, not a banana shaped seat found on motorbikes.
  • You sit upright. Your back is up against a vertical seat-back. You are not leaning forward.
  • As you enter the bike your leg has to lift up no more than a foot high to 'straddle' whatever box-thing that is on the floor keeping your feet separated. You are not straddling a motorbike, nor a motobike seat. You can still knock your knees together, which you can't do if you're straddling a motorbike.
  • Your feet go flat onto a floor that is parallel to the ground. They are not up on pedals, nor are they tucked behind you as if you were leaning forward on a racing motorbike.
  • There is a lap bar to keep you in. That would be impossible if you straddling a motorbike.

Proof:

You straddle a seat and know my knees can’t touch, while I recognize Tron is different, Hagrids motorcycle simulation is no different then FoP or a Disk-O. In all you have zero side support, stand erect and have a restraint in front and behind you with you feet flat on the floor. If Hagrids isn’t a motorcycle style seat neither is FoP, and everyone I know refers to FoP as a motorcycle type seat.

FoP is closer to TRON than it is to Hagrid's...it's sort of a cross between the two. On FoP, you're sitting with one leg on each side of a bike-style seat, not in a chair, which brings it close to TRON's vehicles, but you are still sitting in a pretty upright position, which is similar to Hagrid's. Hagrid's ride cars may look similar to a motorcycle, but from the video posted upthread, Hagrid's does NOT have motorcycle seats.
