Si, it dead.Wait.... is the moving sidewalk gone forever?
!?!?!? When did this happen? I knew it's been closed off for while on my last visits. I thought they were just refurbing it... This really makes me sad.. What's going to be there now? Just a regular walkway?Si, it dead.
Yep just a wider walking path with some ramps. The path changed slightly. The plan all along was to remove the moving walkway and widen.***!?!?!? When did this happen? It happened in November:
Weirdly enough, I'd have preferred a regular ramp to go there instead of Space Mountain. It's always struck me as odd to find a modern speedramp waiting for the boats in the middle of a Spanish Fortress. Ditto the one in DL's Haunted Mansion; there must've been an Imagineer in the 60s who really hated walking. At least they don't have the room to install ramps at POC

I wonder if speed ramps were considered accessible back then?Weirdly enough, I'd have preferred a regular ramp to go there instead of Space Mountain. Accessible wasn't an issue back then.I wonder if speed ramps were considered accessible back then?
The amount of people who like this ride are just
Haunted mansion ramps are for loading and unloading and pretty necessary to keep things going... And yes...when the parks were built it was all about capacity and keeping things moving...If you remove the speedramps from pirates you are going to end up with the mother of all bottle necks at the exit... That was originally the same idea with Space Mountain...there was the home of future living exhibit that the speedramp took you past... without stopping everyone trying to exit while some people stopped to look at the display. It was the smartest way to move people quickly and efficiently out of the attraction. It was also very futuristic to glide your way out of the attraction. It has nothing to do with liking to walk or not. It was just smart...Glad I’m not the only one... I don’t mind the speed ramps, but it always felt out of place in pirates.

I always loved the foot print and peg leg print. Made me laugh every time. Such a small detail.Weirdly enough, I'd have preferred a regular ramp to go there instead of Space Mountain. I was just in Disneyland and rode their Autopia ride....it's SO MUCH better than our speedway it's not even funny.
Actually that is all pretty subjective in my opinion as everything is much grander in WDW in my opinion and also all queues are way better here and also rides are newer than DL. Some of the rides you listed had extensive refurbs so are little more updated however ones like Splash and HM are generally seen as better in Florida than California.DL is pretty much better on every ride that carries over to MK. Exceptions are Mad Hatter (tea cups in DL are very hard to spin), and HM (each is unique, so it's hard to place one above the other, and Big Thunder (the DL effects BLOW MK's out of the water, but MK's feels a bit longer and has a better track). DL SM is light years ahead, POTC and IASW are no comparison either. Don't get me started on the vast 'better-ness' that DL Fantasyland has over MK's either. Talk about a gaudy mess of 1970's cheap-on-the-fly ugliness, look no farther than MK FL (NFL not withstanding).
Pretty sure I didn’t mention HM or Space Mountain. I specifically said it looks out of place at pirates. I did not mind the ramp at all at space Mountain because it fit in with the land and attraction and haunted mansion it’s easy to understand why it is there, just like on the other omnimovers. I understand having one at the exit of pirates to keep people moving, but that doesn’t change the fact it is probably the most thematically out of place use of the system.Haunted mansion ramps are for loading and unloading and pretty necessary to keep things going... The removal of the ramp as a permanent thing is lame and cheap...and pretty much dooms the chance of ever having an amazing epilogue to the ride (exit display) again
DL's Mansion has a speed ramp at the exit, after unload. Like MK's PiratesHaunted mansion ramps are for loading and unloading and pretty necessary to keep things going...

How? The post show is still there, the ramp really did not change a whole lot of anything. The ramp is more than wide enough for people to stop and actually see the displays while most guests just scurry by to get to their next fastpass.Haunted mansion ramps are for loading and unloading and pretty necessary to keep things going...
