I see what both sides mean. On one hand, TRON was built to be the rollercoaster in the dark E-Ticket for Shanghai’s Tomorrowland, the spiritual successor to Space Mountain.
On the other hand, that doesn’t mean that is all it will be for Magic Kingdom, a park that is lacking both a strong draw on the east side of the park, and a 21st century E Ticket to herald in the most visited theme park.
It also happens to be a preexisting ride that has proven to be immensely popular, and fits into its chosen land nicely. Is it the solution to all of MK’s problems? No. Does that make it a bad choice? I don’t think so.
