Hi all!!
I just wanted to say hi to everyone and to say happy anniversary to 3 full years of this thread!!!
I looked at the date a few weeks ago and couldn't believe it had been almost 3 years since we started this.

A lot has sure changed for many of us in that time period, both good and bad, and with those changes I hope everyone has felt supported by the people on here, I know I have.
It has been lovely getting to know you all better (both in person and through this thread.)

I don't have anything exciting to post today, just wanted to say hi to everyone and hope you are all having a wonderful summer so far.

Happy thread anniversary!! It really doesn't seem like 3 years, does it. I haven't been over in the trip reports for a while....I got super busy with work and ended up with kind of a burn out and just didn't have the energy to catch up. I should make my way back over there....

Any trips planned? I think it's going to be about 4 years before we try to go. Unless maybe to DLP.

No trips planned, but am already getting the itch again!

Hello all
I am trying to make my way back
It has been a challenging 18 months with some significant losses but things are looking up
I have retired from my full time position at Toyota here in Canada (as of yesterday!!!) and will return in the fall on a part time basis - gradual retirement
No plans to go to the US Disney parks for a while - the current climate is not appealing- but I will try to catchup and stay more active here

I hope you and your family are doing ok.
Congratulations on gradually retiring. I called it weaning out! It was actually accidental for me but in retrospect was the
way to go. It wasn't abrupt and things just sort of filled in the increasing free time.
And yes, please keep in touch on here, as stated 100 pages ago your interesting humor is loved!

Congratulations on retiring from the full time work!! What do you plan to do with your time? Do you have hobbies that you are looking forward to? Or travel? I don't blame you for not going to the US parks...we have the same thing. I'm not even sure my family would be let in because they don't have US passports and a lot of foreigners are being sent right back home. I'm hoping I can maybe plan a trip to DLP, though.

Hello
The plan is to spend more time with family and friends
My parents are needing more care and they are both more than an hour away by car so I will be doing more travelling and even a few sleepovers to support my sister who cares directly for my mom
My summer time hobby is golfing and my winter hobby will be to continue training/coaching and mentoring at Toyota

I still have to get something to make my Steiff Stitch sit a little taller in that back corner!
For my smaller items out front that you will see what elevates them, I use vintage Disney wooden blocks but for stuff in the back I use clear upside down take out food containers and you usually can't see them with the other items in front of the containers. :)
Edit to add, love the Stitch Lego!

I found a cheap plastic drawer organizer thingy for my Stitch and it works perfectly!
