Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

Besides the small part of the forest area that borders small world Hong Kong arendelle is almost entirely independently bermed and It doesn’t have a large lake behind it that opens to the rest of the park. I know there is also that little peninsula on the lake near the harbour which I wonder what they will do with
I think the harbour is where the Arendelle boat show is going, rather than on the Adventure Bay itself

Yep. The harbour:

For anyone reading into Racers... it is pointing to RC Racers in Toy Story Playland. Navi however, well.

They even seem to be directionally pointing at the four. Quite literally a compass.

I feel vindicated for Pandora. Partly because I wanted it. Partly because France unusually loved Way of Water, it’s their highest grossing film of all time there (not the first, the sequel).

Now they just need to ensure it is unique to DAW - 50/50 on that happening. 50% because they seem now unusually in a unique streak. 50% because it is Paris…

Really dumb question but if this does confirm pandora where will it actually go

I’m struggling to picture the park properly

Will it be where Alice is now or between cars road trip and frozen

Interesting that the drone formation does not appear to be the same formation as the tests at Golden Oak Ranch. Now I’m really curious about what that test was for…

Still possibly the inauguration of DCL Adventure. Whatever it is, it’s too uni-directional for any of the lagoon venues.

Between cars and frozen. It’s obviously not an announcement, but I suspect it wasn’t entirely an accident.

For what seemed like a pointless attempt at manufacturing media for an opening date, there was quite a few nice surprises in the end.

Restaraunt looks gorgeous, Olaf is fantastic. Really nice surprise on the Frozen show and cast recording of a new song which implies it isn’t a nothing-burger afterthought. My disappointment era that they really weren’t going to properly meaningfully fix this park seems to be reverting to optimism. I’m headed there in June. If those trees fill in over the main walkway corridor in a decade - I might even be in love.

Regarding what everyone's saying regarding the location of NAVI, is this correct?

I wonder what they'll replace Cars Road Trip with.

And there's empty space between Frozen and Lion King — it's currently protected. I wonder what'll happen to it.

Regarding Pandora, can they really base it on the third movie? The seeming iconic location of that place is a volcanic ruin. Maybe the fourth movie (December 21, 2029) will have something more appealing, or they'll just clone DAK's or DCA's?

I think the Vikings had similar a bit before either place 😉

And the Viking era stopped hundreds of years before Frozen took place. They even showed Anna and Elsa's parents in a large 1800's era sailing ship. Why are we getting longships? (I live that they are adding entertainment, but am I the only one bothered by the anachronism? I do realize it's a fantasy movie.)

They're supposed to look like decorative ceremonial barges, not sea-faring ships. It's not anachronism for historically and culturally evocative things to show up during festivals.

I really hope that besides Avatar they get either replacements or updates for Cars, and the Nemo area. both look really bad. personally would want a new cars land and either just a new Nemo land that's maybe indoors or sm else. I also really hope they eventually make the front of the park match the beautiful art neouvu of the back

Keep in mind that neither park location are a direct main film location. They are set 100 years later in each region.

They have a lot of creative license, but the more dormant volcanic region 100 years later has potential for a unique location with significant vegetation regrowth in the shadow of a volcano.
