Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

the strange thing is they have some good examples of how they can integrate a “golden age of Hollywood” entrance as part of a wider park that doesn’t necessarily share that theme

Hollywood studios has an awful layout but the Hollywood boulevard entrance nails the entry very well, Buena vista street while not being Hollywood itself also carry’s the golden age of the movies theme as a setup for the rest of the park

Meanwhile WDS feels more like “stick a new park at the back of the existing park then hopefully when that new park bumps attendance up enough to justify more upgrades then just rip the entire front half down

On another note I think it’s an interesting question to ask what’s next

One pridelands is open what will the park do next?

Will the attendence be high enough that they can look at “softer” expansions like trying to align the entire park by completely redoing the original layout of WDS or will they go for “lake land 3” still having it struggle against Parc Disneyland

As the only resort where it really feels like an enormous project is on the move as we are basically getting an entire new gate by proxy I really wonder what WDS will do next

I would say that once Pride Lands opens, Disneyland Park will be the one to get something new.

DLP would not be investing money in placemaking the front of the park if this was not expected to remain for the next 10 years as a minimum. We know 'temporary' Disney installations can last for 10 years or longer so in reality the front of the park is what we will have for many years to come. Probably closer to 20 than 10.

If I was to put money on something changing it would be a more significant change to the Crush/Aladdin/Cars/meet and greet 'World of Pixar' area but again I think that would be a project for the 2030s.

Are they really doing much more than world premiere and world premiere plaza

All the rest of the legacy park besides remmy’s courtyard and debatably avengers isn’t being touched as far as i was aware, how much longer will that last

I'm afraid I don't fully understand what you are trying to say but by the opening of DAW in the legacy WDSP the only area that hasn't had any work done to improve it is the original Pixar Toon Studio area. Maybe it means they are happy with that area but I honestly think it is because it is an area they want to revisit in the future.

There is also the area around tower of terror (which as far as I understand that old Hollywood facade in front of it wasn’t changing). The area around the Alice stage show and the entry to marvel alongside toon studios (I guess you could also mention the area near cars road trip)
