Quick look over the wall.

Love the way both times the camera zooms in on the wall, quick peek over it and quickly pulls back. They really didn’t want to get caught ! 😂😂

A question, which I couldn’t quite make out. As you walk round the lake counter clockwise from the TS restaurant towards Frozen, you need to go over the bridge into Arendelle - correct? There isn’t a path that goes past the tram
tour station and into Arendelle. And I assume the building to the right as you go over the bridge is part of the ride building?

Just a bit of facade extension here would go a long way in plussing this corner of the park

The department store false front doesn't look so good from this angle

And it would hide the unflattering restroom side of the Animation building

A proper store with a nice interior would be even better, but I don't think that's possible without sacrificing most of the outdoor queue for Animation

I actually wonder if Scar and the hyenas will even be in the ride, save perhaps for a shadow projection ala Gaston and the angry mob. There's been a annoying trend in recent years where villains have been absent or heavily sidelined from kids rides based off animated films.

Dr Facilier didn't make it into Tiana, Hans is only in Tokyo's Frozen ride and not any of the other three variants. And his villain moments are relegated to two very crudely and poorly implemented video screens (shockingly bad compared to the quality of the rest of the ride i'll add). Mother Gothel isn't in Tokyo's Tangled ride at all. Gaston and the angry mob are shadow projections shoved into the background of a brief transitional scene. Then there are examples such as California's Snow White ride (which used to be almost identical to Paris') receiving an overhaul that significantly brightened the entire attraction up, removed a lot of the scary scenes and setpieces and drastically toned down the scenes with the Witch.

That said, these are all princess rides and Disney were trying to make them appeal more specifically and exclusively towards little girls (a mistake, but one I won't get into here). So I wonder how they will handle an IP that arguably has more of a male-centric appeal such as Lion King. Captain Hook is still given a prominent role in newer Peter Pan attractions, an IP that attracts a more gender neutral to male-leaning demographic. Though Hook is much more of a silly and not all all scary comic relief than a lot of other classic villains. Scar and even the hyenas are very different, they stand among some of Disney's most most violent and dark animated villains. Even their more comical moments are tinted with extremely dark and violent overtones.

Tiana's and Frozen Ever After justify the lack of villain by setting the attraction after the movie. Lion King is a book report ride so will likely feature Scar, especially with how integral Scar is to the plot

In addition to what Gusey mentioned, WDI recently invited Andreas Deja—the animator who created Scar—to review the concepts and models for the new ride. Of course, this isn’t a direct confirmation. Still, he doesn’t exactly look like someone who was just told his character wouldn’t be appearing.

By the way, any thoughts on what we might expect from the restaurant in terms of theme and views? Do you think it could be integrated into the ride, like Captain Jack’s (formerly Blue Lagoon) at Pirates, with boats floating by? Maybe it’ll be set in a jungle environment?

You don't find jungles alongside the savannas.

If Animation shell was instead like Carthay-esque, that would be ideal.

I think that little swath (with genie spinner) other than Alice is probably the highest priority to up the ante on the quality of the park.

I have generally turned for some reason on this project. I couldn’t figure out why. But I really think they’ve been plugging away at it… how long it has been aside.

It’s all the placemaking along the avenue and the lake with a shift to a unique land for the park. It’s silly, because objectively they aren’t breaking the bank on the changes. But they all feel unifying.

I was more thinking about it from the angle of which scenes might appear in general as potential settings for the restaurant. But I get your point. What do you think the setting will be?

Do we know for sure this is happening? I hadn’t even registered that there was going to be a TS restaurant included!

I don’t really see how it would fit. Both Pirates and Remy have a story whereby seeing diners from the ride makes sense. LK doesn’t involve any humans, so unless the glass is one way I don’t see how it would fit. If it is a case of one way glass then, from the ride pov , maybe they’re just floating through a cave?

From the model, it looks like any restaurants and shops would be located in the showbuilding structure and the announcement mentioned restaurants and shops. Just nothing mentioned about a table service restaurant

Thanks. So it could be more like The Land at Epcot, rather than Remy or Captain Jack’s.

I just don’t see that a set up like those two makes sense thematically.
