This is such a terrible name.
Does this park deserves such a terrible name?
Yes.
This park has always been conceptually terrible, physically terrible, and functionally terrible.
Can’t we bulldoze it and try again??

The really funny thing is, nothing in that park evokes adventure. It’s still full of slick art deco everywhere, and the new expansion has a lot of elegant art nouveau.

If you have to steal from one of the original land names, go ahead with…

Disney Fantasy World!

Or any of the cruise ships will do…

Disney Wish World
Disney Wonder World

Whatever… it’s just one big group of suits that don’t care about anything that matters…

I think if they had to go with a name change like this, I would have preferred Worlds of Adventure rather than Adventure World. But that’s probably too close to Islands of Adventure. Although the Adventure World name is pretty similar to Epic Universe.

I didn’t expect much today; it’s more a shindig for the bloggers to try and maintain interest until they’re ready for more news.

Honestly, they should have stuck with Disney Studio's Paris. I don't really understand why it needed the name change other than a chance to re-brand it as a "new park" for new customers.

It's Holywood Studios that's desperate for the name change.

I don't know what to think about this. Because, up until now, the only park with "World" in it was Walt Disney World. Having been called that gave it its own unique destination. Now "World" has been watered down.

When it comes to names, I think Hollywood Studios > Walt Disney Studios Paris. Though I'd say shifting from WSDP to DAW is more of lateral move than an improvement.

My ramblings: I dig the World Premiere area in land and concept, like the expansion of night-time entertainment, and like the Royal View in both name and design. Hate the name Adventure World. Like...do they do focus groups before making these types of choices?

This is renaming Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris, not Hollywood Studios.

Probably too old/far away for this to have been a factor, but Six Flags called their Ohio park "Worlds of Adventure."

Hmm..Wrong park for this title where there is a park that hardly focuses on Animal's as much as they used to and considering the route they are going with Indy and Encanto...A Disney's Adventure Kingdom will say..

It's an odd choice IMO as well. Even Disney Paris Adventure would be less awkward although similar in structure to the DCA name. And using World in any way is unnecessarily confusing.

Just tell me SM 4.0 is coming, along with Rise and the Twain. And a new Mermaid dark ride.

What’s the Twain?

But YES to Rise. If they build that and go ahead with Pandora I’ll be happy. Or even use the FoP ride system for something else. Failing that, Soarin would do.

Any kind of dark ride would be great.
