Whilst on the topic, I need to give some love to Ant Man at HKDL. Surprisingly enjoyable and repeatable and we’re glad it replaced Buzz.
I'm also glad you said that, because I was a little puzzled at all the hate I had seen for that attraction after finally riding it! I personally probably still prefer Buzz (though had never been on the HKDL version), but it seemed perfectly enjoyable to me and fit the new Marvel area they have been constructing.

This is perhaps drifting a little too far off topic, but I was also surprised at the reaction I had seen to the Iron Man simulator attraction after riding it. Honestly, I thought it was kind of fun the way it incorporated Hong Kong into the attraction and the guests I was with seemed to enjoy it a lot.

Anyway, back to WDS... which we can still call it at least for now. Oh, I wish they would just drop their plan to rename it!

Same. Before visiting I wanted Star Tours. Afterwards we were again pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed it and rode multiple times during our stay. We found both this and Ant Man very well themed, executed and felt the mini Marvel area worked well, much like we feel about Avengers Campus in WDSP (yes, WDSP). And that’s my way of trying to swing back on topic!

Just to drop in a few thoughts to support the unexpected views...

Crush's Coaster... I would also be happy to see it levelled and become a dance party. Alternatively I think that area of 'Worlds of Pixar' would benefit more from a large quick service and some better meet and greet space versus Crush's Coaster. I tend to judge an attraction on 'does it do more good than bad for the park' and for me Crush's Coaster makes the park worse. Yes I like the indoor queue, the dark ride section but the switch back queue, low capacity, high wait times, big blue shed, disco ball coaster theming... for a park that people say "isn't Disney quality" Crush's Coaster is not Disney quality.

Inversely I am also signed up to Team Web Slingers. As others have said I think Web Slingers ticks a lot of the boxes for WDSP and also corrects most of my criticisms of Crush's Coaster.

And as a side I recently visited HKDL and my expectations were low for Ant Man and Iron Man however they were two of my highlights in the park. Could Ant Man do with some more motion? Yes. But I prefer it to Buzz. And Iron Man whilst not having the re-rideability of Star Tours was a very solid Marvel attraction and good use of the Star Tours ride system.

I like the Marvel area, but I still think HK should have gone with a Star Wars retheme instead. Star Tours could have replaced Iron Man, and they could’ve added multiple stories to expand the experience. Rise of the Resistance would’ve been a much better fit than the upcoming Tower, and Hyperspace Mountain already ties in well.

That said, I’m still excited for the Tower. I think every Disney resort should have one — it’s a great ride system with tons of creative potential.

My oh my, Crush some sort of Barnstormer, Web Slingers the new Rise…

* shakes head in disbelief, ropedrops right *

Antman is fun, Iron Man is superb. The Marvel area works surprisingly well in HK, as many areas do over there. I don’t care for it in WDSP.

RnRC was slightly more fun, because more exuberant. Aesthetically this whole area was utter rubbish, it’s slightly better now, a bit tighter and more coherent. But I continue to find myself uncharmed here. Perhaps I’m just not a natural Marvel in Disney fan. Beyond the odd attraction I just don’t need it, superheroes feel like a Universalification of Disney parks of sorts.

The placement of Tower of Terror bothers me in this park. I believe someone posted a concept with support buildings to make it look a little less plonked down, but it’s very awkwardly there.

I also find it bonkers that they’ve never added Toy Story Mania to the park.

The new entrance looks good and I like the look of the paving - that sort of thing elevates the feel of the park.

Webslingers suffers from its main element, shooting webs without any equipment, not living up to dreamed expectations.
