Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

DLP PR teams never wanted to let D23 Expo or Destination announce anything major for the European resort (because of the time difference mainly), I doubt it will change anytime soon...

2027 ?!?!!?!?! What are they building an entire new park with that sort of nonsensical timescale.

Ridiculous.

Just build some attractions in a normal timescale for crying out loud !

It actually is a normal timescale. According to P. Cornelis in the book Investment Thrills an investment has about 3 years of impact on the attendance. The first year is the most with it decreasing each year after. So having a large scale investment every 2/3 years in an existing park is more than enough to drag out the return on investment through visitor growth. Once investments stop there will be a bounce back effect, but it can be resolved by investing every 2/3 years.

The irony because you also have a problem with the speed they’re quickly building a whole new Universal theme park opening in 2025. Going by your statement above, 4-5 years is now a reasonable amount of time to build a new theme park.

Not a great week for Flight Force!

Speaking of coasters...

Sigh this really should also come to WDSP too, I realise its not the greatest coaster in the world but I feel it would round out the Frozen land nicely and some kinetic energy in a land always gives it a bit more life.

I agree, having just one ride in wdsp frozen land seems shortsighted especially for the disney park that needs the most

It would have also perhaps balanced out the break neck scramble to Crush at rope drop.

Such a missed opportunity. Cheaping out as usual.

And then I see the old Motor stunt show just sat there doing nothing rotting away, anything planned to go here?

You can also see it as a 300 meters kiddie coaster that costs a lot of money because it is full of rockwork and that has a ride duration of 40 seconds with half the capacity of a flat ride.

Avengers E. Eventually. Maybe.

Kind of seems like they're running out of time on that. Are they still going to want to build an Avengers E ticket when the MCU has moved on to other characters?

I suppose they could design it around the new Avengers, but they don't know how successful that's going to be compared to the original incarnation.
