Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

I shall assume this has meaning to Marvel fans?
But to uninitiated me this just looks like classic WDSP design. I.e. take an ugly everyday object, preferably a box wharehouse, dump it in the park, and insist it somehow is a magical themed object.
Just by context:

;)

In the comics, Cassie uses Pym tech to become the superhero 'Stature' (she usually goes big). She's going to be featured in the next Ant-Man movie next year.

The second Ant-Man movie partially revolves around a large office building shrunk down to luggage size, so it's pretty well-themed in context.

My only issue is, it looks nothing like a building, just a vaguely themed industrial box.

I wonder how much money it cost to come up with this and it’s backstory.

Well, they said it's a refrigerated warehouse, which basically is just an industrial box.

I think, considering the intent, the theming is well-executed -- opinions may vary on whether it was a good idea to choose that as the theming source.

This is how it looks in the movie. When it comes to theming its significant better than the usual ice cream carts theming (which is none). I have quite some complains about Studios and Avengers Campus. But this is not one of them.

In the movie... that's supposed to be a shrunk-down actual office building, so not the same building as the refrigerated warehouse. But I agree that the ice cream cart could have more detail on the outside to sell the idea of a warehouse, like "Pym Refrigerated Technologies" or similar...

This is the stuff I come to this board to see. Good stuff. Gad to see a new Tea Cups ride is being built on the main pathway to the lake. Also love the new entrance to TSL. The entire area looks pretty nice. Cant wait to see what they do on the other side of the path!

Not sure how I feel about this. If they get rid of Aladdin so it makes it a bit more exclusive then I don't mind.

The Walkway to the lake also just screams Epcot with all year round food booths coming along with what they already do near Remy
i dont like the aladdin ride and think it should be replaced or rethemed but...the alladin spinner is a different ride system than teacups so I dont mind having both

And the crowd goes... mild...

This little water point (étang = pond) is to have the (hopefully pretty) lights reflection at night from the main pathway, which is a nice touch. The ride will be visible from my red arrow (the queue being on the left on the below blueprint)

looks great to me, i wasnt expecting anything major on the pathway, really thinking it was gonna just be food or shops, but seeing a ride is awesome imo. adding a ride to a park with so few rides is a good thing. i really wishfrozen land had another ride as well....building mini lands with just 1 ride is a mistake imo

The blueprint shows a little boat within that pond. This could be a copy of the Rapunzel boat from the Shanghai Disneyland Boat Ride - Voyage to the Crystal Crystal Grotto.

The lanterns scene in Tangled including the song is very beautiful and it will be nice to see it come to live in the Disney parks. Though I would not have associated its mainly romantic and emotional atmosphere with a dizzy making spinning ride. I wonder if they will slow down the speed and dizziness factor compared to the other spinning rides to better fit the tone of the movie scene.

And I agree, it’s all very random and continues to lack a coherent theme, overall vision and ambition. The desired question "how did Disney do that?" has turned for me into a "how did Disney make a €2 billion expansion plan turn into something so average and lazy?".
