Overlaid on a satellite map for those who would not visualize it clearly:

When laid out like this, it seems a lot smaller than I excepted 👀 Does the blue include what should be "Mini Star Wars" land?

The garden/restaurant concept seems fine to me even if might not quite fit in with the current parking lot 😂, lord knows the whole resort could do with more dinning options!

The Rise area is bottom right behind the watermark.

Between that and Frozen is an expansion pad, with another north of the service canal. Then you’ve also got the Reign of Fire area.

It has potential.

Has there been chatter about what might make its way to that Northern expansion pad? I remember rumors of Pandora before the expansion was finally announced, and clearly that didn't make the cut. Might that be a "Phase 2", or are they looking in other directions?

Nothing I know of yet - though I do now know a few more people in Paris than I used to.
I disagree. It's great for place-setting upon entrance. It may need some tweaks in a few years, as the theme of the park changes away from "movie studio" to "movie properties", but right now there's nothing wrong with it. IMHO.
Indeed. It’s also a covered and thus weatherproof Main Street. Albeit one that is still reminiscent of the original parks shoestring budget.

Agree with @marni1971 and @HauntedPirate that Studio 1 is fine as it is, although it does create bottlenecks to enter and exit the park, especially in winter when people huddle around to keep warm. What I'm hoping for is that the walkways to the left and right of Studio 1, beside it and the Cinemagique and Animagique theatres, are opened up to relieve crowds. Kind of how Main St USA has the covered arcades each side if it, but in reverse, with the covered area being in the middle. This will be especially helpful for crowd control once they start putting nighttime shows around that new lake. If you've been to DHS when park closing coincides with both F! and SWAGS kicking out, you know what I mean!

And is that rumour of the possibility for the Mermaid dark ride in this area of the park true?

I really don't know how these rumors get started, but if they really consider that...what is the thought process in the Imagineers mind?
WDSP already has an "underwater" ride...(Crush's coaster). Wouldn't it be redundant to have two similar rides in the same park?
It makes 0 sense.
Why not put Little Mermaid in the Main Park (she's a classic princess too), and Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway in the Studios?
The building of MMRR could have the same Art Nouveau style of the new restaurant concept art.
It seems like it's all the opposite of how it should be; MMRR would also feel a bit out of place in the main park.

RotR would have a different show building apparently :

This land is set to debut in 2027, they have theoretically 'til 2024 to rethink the layout of our version of SWGE if needed

What we'll get in terms of dining options-according to what we know so far- is :

-an improved and rethemed "En Coulisses" restaurant" in our current Studio 1

-Pym Test Kitchen in Avengers C.A.M.P.U.S
-the Assembly/Armory restaurant in Avengers C.A.M.P.U.S
-the Shawarma truck
-the Captain America dine-in restaurant in Avengers C.A.M.P.U.S

-Bistrot Chez Rémy
-Cars Red Truck

- the Art Nouveau restaurant
-2 dining options close to Arendelle
-Frozen restaurant
-Star Wars restaurant

Therefore 12 permanent officialized dining options for now.
Are there any confirmed details on those Avengers Campus locations? I can’t find anything and the food currently listed at WDSP is rather limited.

If it's true about the 2027 opening, I can't help but wonder that the land may veer off from the original timelines set within the sequel trilogy and actually become more "generic" so it's easier to implement Star Wars characters (I'm looking at you Mando/Grogu)

Honestly, I don't think we'll see Pandora come. I guess it'll depend on how well the sequels do, by that time there's sure to be another Billion dollar movie that'll overtake Avatar (I'm not looking at the Avatar sequels here...)

They probably didn't have enough money to bring it there, they kept the old black vehicle from the Summer of Heroes instead 😅
