Traces of history that shouldn't be there

On the Winnie the Pooh treehouse there is a imprint on one of the door arches with a 20K sub..... It's not really a thing still left there but it's still a sign of the beloved 20 K that was once there. Just thought it was neat...
Yes, that did exist once, but that is currently where the NFL is. Maybe when it is all open again, including the 7dmt, we might look carefully. That is being built right in the middle of the old sub lagoon.
Also on Winnie the Pooh isn't there a photo of toad from the former attraction?
That is correct. There is a picture of Toad handing over the deed to Pooh. Also there is a statue of Mr. Toad in the animal graveyard at Haunted mansion.

The Swan Boats were never on a track. They were steered by the skipper driving it.
There were side bumpers in a few places to guide the boats through narrow spots under bridges, but those were removed quite a few years ago.

It was probably left intentionally, but the planter in front of Mission: Space is shaped like the Horizons building. It was a mini mirror image of it.
OMGosh You are right. I saw this and jumped to Google Earth and yes, you can see it and it is exactly a mini-mirror of the old Horizons. I can't say how many times I have walked right past that and never saw it for what it is.

If you are interested in remnants from attractions past, @KevinYee wrote a fine book about it. A bit dry and meant for the serious more than the casual fan. It is actually pretty good and comprehensive. Am reading it as we speak. Mind it is just an encyclopaedic collection of half-page entries, not a properly readable page-turner.

The rock formation shaped like a dragon head, on the bank of the river on the right side of the bridge as you are walking into Camp Minnie Mickey.

I'll give you one thing I have noticed, and one I have not.

Noticed: Meg's budget cuts

Not noticed: Meg's footsteps in-park

Those count as traces from the past, right?

The dock for the Mike Fink keel boats is now the Haunted Mansion extended queue on busy days.

At Animal Kingdom, the docks along the river formerly used for the Discovery River Boats/Radio Disney River Cruise are used as meet n greets and dining areas.

The vehicles on Dinosaur still have the CTX decoration.

Did anyone mention the original Discovery Island? And what about the place where you could get a canoe, wasn't it around the river boat.

According to Wikipedia the canoe launch was on Tom Sawyer Island north of the raft launch. Maybe someone else can provide more detail.

I haven't read the Wikipedia entry, but you might be misinterpreting what's written. The canoe dock was (and still is) on the mainland between the TSI raft dock and Big Thunder. (So yes, it's north of the TSI raft dock)

When the canoes were eliminated, I think they *might* have relocated the Keelboats to here until their demise, but I'm not 100% sure. I'd have to look at an old map.
