Wow, cool pictures!

Question: In WDW, they have a whole "immerse yourself among the toys" motif. And here, it seems like you just wait in line and get in the ride. Is there a queue worth looking at? Or did I miss the pictures?

I'm hopefully going to DL next month so I'm excited to ride this version as well :D

I was able to ride it on Tuesday during passholder previews. I had a BLAST! The ride is so much fun, and the interaction is great! And if they have to stop to load a vehicle, they let you practice even more...No added points, but at least you dont just sit there! Potato Head wasnt out:(
I have to say that TSMM is way more fun than Buzz, and will easily be a favorite!

It's definitely not as nicely themed as WDW's, but the outside is very pretty!

How funny...I was planning on going to the parks tues. I haven't been in a while. Maybe I'll stop by.

Not sure if its all true but I'v heard that theres going to be a "cannon" that will shoot fireworks at a bullseye across the bay. Then you will be able to see the building and all. Also green army men that will parashoot into DCA. If all is true it will be a very cool opening day thats for sure.

Edit- oh never mind its on Blue Sky Disney-

I got to go on this with my mom on sunday (post triathlon)! The quick spinning almost did me in! (Not that it's THAT bad, or that I'm a wuss, but I was just completely exhausted and running on adrenaline, so I was feeling every lurching motion known to man - and a few that no man SHOULD feel!).
My mom is turning 60 this year and has NEVER played video games. I wooped her score, but her accuracy was better than mine. Mr. Potato head was out (actually, he was even running when we ran by him during the race!) and we had a great time! The wait said 45 minutes, but it was a REALLY face moving line and we were done in 30 or less.

The que takes on less of an "immerse yourself in toys" feel and more of a "Hey! Welcome to the Midway!" feel.

And - yes, anyone who was at the parks on Sunday, I am partly responsible for the lagoon being so black/brown! lol Nearly 2000 of us went for a dip in it in the morning and stirred up all the muck at the bottom.

More on that under a different thread when I get more pictures. :)

Wait...the Paradise Pier lagoon?

Do you know how icky Disney water is?
>_<

So, TSMM has been open for 5 hours now. Micechat has had reports that the line has reached, get this, the ESPLANADE (or the area between DCA and DL).

So even with the huge extended queue built for it, the wait has now reached around 4 to 5 hours if not more.

It was actually a very cool experience, though I'll admit, I think the organizers made a mistake of releasing roughly 1700 women into the water at a rate of about 100 every 2 minutes. TOO MANY PEOPLE!!!!

As far as I know, none of us are worse for the wear (though I have a nasty scratch on my shin from being shoved into a concrete rock by another swimmer. You'll have to wait and check out my triathlon blog for the details! :)

HOLY CRUD! It was fun, but GEESH! I wouldn't wait more than 45 minutes.

I like how both versions of the ride have things going for it in their respective parks. The Midway theme works much better in DCA, and the "shrink you down to the size of a toy" theme seems to work better in DHS. But they both look like a lot of fun!

So theres not very many videos yet, but the first few video, and pics looks very cool 5 Green Army Men that parachooted in to DCA and landed in the lagoon, Ed, Jay, Bob, John were there along with the Toy Story characters and Buzz in space, PPP cast and of course fireworks!

Holy crap! It's a good ride, but not worth that long of a wait!

HOLY CRAP!! :eek::eek::eek:

I was at the parks today. Stayed at DL from opening to noon. It was way too hot and crowded to stay any longer. Some people in my group wanted to go to DCA, but there was no way I was going to go over there. I'm so glad I didn't.

^ I probably worded that a little funny, but his words are nice to hear how much love that he and WDI are going to be putting in to DCA. I listened and typed the part when he talks about DCA. I missed what he said on one part but I think I pretty much got everything of it.

John Lassester-
"I tell you folks this is the start when you see how beautiful this ride is, when you see how much fun this ride is, this is the start of the rebirth of Disney's California Adventure.

I'v been working with the incredible artists at Walt Disney Imagineearing and I can honestly say we are so proud of the work thats going on and whats going to come to life at this park(DCA). And in fact right behind you, right over there(pointing to the Golden Dreams Theater) is going to be a fantastic attraction based on the amazing animated film The Little Mermaid its going to be great.

And, tell you what for those fans of Lighting McQueen and Mator, and all the cars characters, ::something I cant figuar out:: we cant wait to walk down the down town of Radiator Springs (pointing at the Timon lot or the PPP parade warehouse) just right over there in what will be Carsland, and its going to be fantastic. We are going to make this park even more amazing I promise you. And the first case is Toy Story Mania."

oh BTW this was from LP's update
