I've found a video of how Toy Story Mania will look and some explanation from a disney person...sorry don't know who he is but seems to know what he's talking about. i've not seen it before so here's the link if anyones interested! Its on www.doingflorida.com news page:animwink:

Thanks for the video. I was thinking it was going to be like Buzz, which I like, but I think this may even be better. I'll see it in Oct 09!:)

I thought it would be like Buzz too so relieved it looks different. Hope its open in July when we go! So far all I've seen is opening Summer 08.;)

I'm very excited about this attraction! I will really liven up that area of the park that is soo dead during the EMHs and sometimes normal hours, just because there is nothing to do over their. But I hope they keep making attractions to help build that whole backlot area that has been dieing for so long. It will help even the park out a bit more :) I just hope it doesn't go too fast and not give you enough time to hit it. I did hear though you can have settings one your gun, beginner all the way up to expert! I think this attraction is so great because if they ever wanted to do a holiday version all you do is just change some props and the video! Halloween, throw pumpkins, at Christmas time...throw snowballs!:) It has so much potential that I hope it lives up to the buzz!

Has anyone realized that there hasn't been any mention of buzz in this attraction? Is it because he has his own ride at MK? :shrug:

I think Toy Story Mania looks loads more exciting than Buzz. Last year when we went on Buzz it looked like the ride could do with a bit of a refurb, some of the ride vehicles had the paint rubbed off and one of the shooters we had didn't show the score! I once got a really high bonus score (100,000?)on Buzz but no idea what I shot at to get it...anyone know what i could have hit? :veryconfu

From the video, it sounds like you will pull a "string" to shoot at the screen.....sounds different than your usual shoot-'em-up rides ( Reese at HersheyPark, Spiderman at IoA, Buzz at MK).

I wonder how they will make they transition from the Pixar Animation Studios facade in DHS to being shrunk down to a toy to fit in Andy's Toy Chest.

I am really not that excited about this ride. It seems like a better version of Buzz. I noticed you have to pull on some string or rope as part of the game. I dont see that lasting. What happens if it breaks??? I still say the best shooter game in Orlando is Men In Black.

Spiderman in IOA isn't a shooting ride. There is an Ultimate Spiderman that is a shooter, but I don't know what park it's at.
