It is in shocking condition. It's way over exaggerated. The track is not as bumpy as most say.
It’s not got any smoother in the NINE YEARS since even Disney decided it was so bad it needed replacing.

After riding them both I feel like the lack of onboard audio is what really makes it feel inferior to Disneyland's.
Disneyland's Matterhorn is still substantially worse than WDW's Space Mountain. Having said that, Disneyland's Space Mountain is superior for many reasons, the smoothness of the track is one of them.It is in shocking condition.

The Matterhorn is the Coaster of Theseus. A full track replacement means it is no longer the first tubular steel roller coaster.Yeah I hear all about MK's SM but nothing of the Matterhorn? I had to take Advil after doing the TL side! They need to completely replace the track on that thing. If not Advil or Tylonal should sponsor it!
Yeah the only reason DLs is better is bc of the audio. MK has the superior layout. It's much faster and has more drops.

looks more like Lincoln Logs.

Why do people want smooth you’re going through Space for heavens sake. Space Mountain in MK is a riot...we laugh all the way through.
So a title is more important than guest satisfaction/comfort?The Matterhorn is the Coaster of Theseus. A full track replacement means it is no longer the first tubular steel roller coaster.
That’s been the official sentiment. So a title is more important than guest satisfaction/comfort?
Because it’s a Florida forum?Yeah I hear all about MK's SM but nothing of the Matterhorn?
Boo hoo.The Matterhorn is the Coaster of Theseus. A full track replacement means it is no longer the first tubular steel roller coaster.
Have you ridden it since they added the new padding to the rockets?Boo hoo.
I'd rather a comfortable ride than Disney get to have their title.
Yes.Have you ridden it since they added the new padding to the rockets?
Here's a list of things that we can see still needing to be done:It will be interesting to see what kind of refurb may be in store for Space Mountain once Tron is up and running. Would seem like a logical time to do major track work or replacement once there is something to take some of the lost capacity.
Back to Toy Story Land, does anyone else think that it looks like there is still a lot of work left to do before summer?
