Is Mr. Potato Head anywhere in the TSMM queue? Inquiring minds want to know.

Yes you can see him partially as soon as you enter the queue building.

I just got off sticky dog, got in line at 7:05 got on at 9:35 exactly 2 and a half hours. I liked it, wait didn't seem that bad as it was interesting to watch the line move.

The more I think of it the more I wish the ride music in Alien Swirling Saucers had lyrics. The best part about Mater's Junkyard Jamboree are the hilarious songs and Mater saying silly things after the ride. We were laughing out loud at that when we rode it for the first time last year. I expected something similar with the new Alien ride, but instead we just get some unremarkable electronic music which is not very memorable. How fun would it have been if a choir of aliens was singing different songs about the claw, or about their savior Buzz Lightyear. Maybe one song could have an appearance by Zurg and all lights turn purple. And then when the ride ends they could announce different things like "Thank you for riding with us, we are eternally grateful". That would have made this fun ride great.

Saturday morning. 270 minute wait for the coaster.
This is absolutely nuts. People are waiting over four hours for a small, naked, lightly-themed coaster because it has Disney branding. You want to wait three hours for FoP on opening day? I wouldn’t do it, but I completely understand the choice. But this?

This is the kind of fanatical “brand loyalty” that ensures that even when competition forces WDW to invest in the parks, execs know they can nix the door coaster and the RSR clone and the Indy ride and build a small bare coaster and a significantly worse version of Mater’s. They can even nix any and all air-conditioned structures. Because guests will form 270 minute lines for Slinky Dog Dash.

Honestly at this point... if I was Disney I would do the same... people are lemmings who eat the cheap bad for you crap up...

Why invest in more expensive produce when people don’t seem to care what they do so long as it’s new.

If we want change it has to start with our wallets.

You know what's funny?

It’s opening day of a new land in an underdeveloped Park.

Absolutely insane wait times. I imagine it's going to get worse once lower APs (like me) are unblocked.

Hoping that maybe the hype dies down really quick (it probably won't, this is Disney), or I can get an FP for Slinky/Aliens. If not, then I guess I'll continue doing what I did at HS before, hit RnRC, ToT, Star Tours, maybe one show, and then park-hop somewhere else.

I really hope they're prepared for Galaxy's Edge. If people will wait four hours for this, just imagine what next Fall will be like... *shudders*

I wouldn't. Brand loyalty will suffice for the short term, but in the long term it would bite them. That being said, I reject the premise that that this is just a small bare coaster....
