Yeah. But as usual we have proclamations of failure before it opens. The same was said of Pandora. The guy says in and out in 30 minutes. Doubtful, especially after it first opens. As for not hanging out in TSL, he isn't clairvoyant. He doesn't know any more than anyone else.
I'm not really sure anyone is saying it will be a failure, just that it could have been more without that much extra work.

Part of the problem, IMHO, is that the Alien Saucers should not be billed as a headliner attraction. At Cars Land, Maters is fun, but it’s essentially an afterthought compared to RSR. It’s not the type of attraction you rush to line up for at rope drop.

the extra work being a full service restaurant, a meet and greet and store and maybe 1 more people eater attraction. The restaurant and the meet and greet are box buildings require very very little capital if done right.... You can build a 10K sq foot restaurant for no more then 5-7M as kitchens from experience. I inflated that for disney terms... I build them for 3-5M and that includes land.

Please. At Disney, a urinal costs $7 million. But it comes with a frying pan. Who knew?

It was described as failing completely a few pages back.
Whether or not the land is a failure is entirely a matter of what we expect the land to achieve.

For instance, let’s take Disney’s perspective; Does TSL give WDW something to promote the year before SWL opens and create the impression of a meaningful attempt to “fix” MGM without the need to build a more costly land like Pixar or Indy land? Yes. On those terms it’s a success.

Now, does TSL make MGM a better park then it was in 2000? Nope. Does it do anything to genuinely fix a park that has been incomplete since opening? Nope. Does it live up to Disney’s usual standards? Nope. Is it a complete land? Nope. Does it compare favorably to even the most modest plans to fix MGM we have heard about for many, many years? Nope. On any of those terms, TSL is a failure.

Before arguing over whether TSL succeeds or fails, we need to clarify the parameters for success.

Hey guys! Hey guys! You know what other expansion added a flat ride and a bare coaster to an existing attraction?

Chester & Hester’s!

Now, I would argue C&H is wittier than TSL. Plus it takes up less land and was cheaper to build. But I don’t think it’s unrealistic to expect TSL to become just as beloved as Chester & Hester’s.

Since you are a newer member (welcome, by the way!), the one thing you will learn is what other members appreciate in an attraction/land/park.

Of course, I respect everyone's opinion! Actually I didn't understand marni1971's one word "Exactly" (I am not a native English speaker if it meant something bad I apologise:)).

And about the Studio Tram Tour I just don't feel that is a good enough attraction justify the huge amount of space it occupied.

The Toy Story Land in Paris is pretty similar in scale to this new one I think? Anyway, that Land is seen as a "diversion" in between the major attractions so I see no reason why this shouldn't be viewed similarly. I think people are expecting too much sometimes.
