Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

I think the real solution to the Toy Story Land problem is not to destroy it, but to add to it.

You've all seen this too many times, but just notice how many toys there are, and notice all of the potential spinning/moving ones. It didn't look as much like a waste of space, because they filled up the space! This looked like a fun, cute, vibrant land. Of course the trenches helped, but that's in the past.

I hope more toys are in the future.

Now looking at it I'm just now noticing how much that green tower in the far back looks like a ride almost like the the Soldier Parachute Drop. Wish it would happen cause this land could use at least one more ride.

Was looking at some on the ground video today of the slinky dog coaster. It is quite a bit taller/bigger than I originally anticipated. Seems like it is more of a "family coaster" than a "kiddie coaster"

Is it me or does it look like there are LEDs above the center spine of the track? You can see it right at the beginning and they're on all of the pieces. That should really spice it up. They could do something where the light "follows" the coaster.

Thank You Princess Leia. This forum seems great. Just got back from WDW with my 2 year old son and boyfriend earlier this month. I hadn't been since I was 4 and it was the 1st time for the both of them. So essentially it was the first for all of us. Hope it was OK to follow you.

I noticed what looks like a cable running all along the inside of the track and was wondering what that could be. Lights would certainly be neat and different.

I agree. Still not thrilled with the overall theming in general but that ship has sort of sailed now.

It is. I'm hoping they go with classic wooden coaster lighting that "races" along the track. Small World uses the effect.

Well this is so...underwhelming, I don't think that more or less unthemed rollercoasters with visible beams, posts, the whole construction openly shown are very Disney. More the opposite.
