I enjoyed reading the dozen or so comments on Twitter formerly known as X.

Particularly the repeated use of the word "Amazing!" to describe this...

The Pixar Place Hotel music loop is now available on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, etc.. I’m kinda floored and happy they actually released some new U.S. resort music!
They prioritize the oddest things to release music for. No, you can't have official soundtracks for the 60th shows, but wouldn't you just LOVE the soundtrack to our most awful and garish hotel?!?

The room doesn't look as bad as I was expecting, but I remain grossed out by their continued efforts to make the ball that happened to be in Toy Story A Pixar Thing, and dislike the modern trend of removing carpet from most of the floor space. I don't think it's too much to expect carpet when you're paying hundreds of dollars a night.

And that derpy Luca mural/wall art/whatever in the lobby? A HUGE no from me.

I’m easily pleased, because this little detail tickles me:

Also:

Haha I like that Mike W detail but THATs the best slide at any Disney hotel? Really?

Anyway, I wonder what the rooms will go for an average here. If it’s competitive with the Westin I may stay for a night at some point. It’s the only on site hotel I haven’t stayed at as the PPH was always in no man’s land. Not nice enough to splurge on and yet still too expensive for what you got.

And it will soon have an entrance for hotel guests into DCA (unless that is already in use), in the pier. You could walk right into your favourite park 😝

Haha It’s already been in use for a while. That’s a nice perk but I’m not willing to pay a premium for it. I’m always going to compare prices with the Westin which is pretty nice and just up the street on DL Drive and Katella. Haha I don’t hate DCA. Sometimes it just sounds that way because I’m comparing it to DL.

Yeah I looked at the Westin after your trip report, but it’s a bit out of my budget - although it looks super nice.

We booked the Element, which isn’t super close, but also not super far. New. Has a kitchen in the room, breakfast included. Looks nice.

Yeah it’s not cheap but for what you get it’s a great value compared to the on-site hotels that are always $200-$400 more per night (minus the PPH). Still though we go to the Westin for a random night here and there. I probably wouldn’t stay there for a 5 night trip either. It adds up. I’d probably go somewhere cheaper or talk myself into one of the on-site hotels if it was a once in a lifetime or a rare trip. The Anaheim Marriott is not too far from the Westin. It’s also nice and usually a bit cheaper in the $250 range. That was our Go-To in the area before the Westin opened. But are any of these hotels worth the price when you’re at the park all day?

I’ve never heard of the Element but that sounds pretty good.

That’s my thought. I want something nice, but affordable, I only plan on sleeping there 😂

This is why I could never part with the money required for an on-site hotel. They are crazy. At least PPH is finally nice…
