Here are a couple more Pixar Place Hotel details Disneyland Resort announced today.

"When final touches are complete later this year, Pixar Place Hotel will have 479 total guest rooms, including two new, two-bedroom themed signature suites, plus a new concierge lounge. The colorful Coco Suite will pay tribute to Miguel and his family’s legacy through vibrant Oaxacan art, while the midcentury modern Incredibles Suite will feature Parr family memorabilia with a spy-fi twist. The Creators Club concierge lounge on the second floor will honor the partnership between Walt Disney Imagineering and Pixar Animation Studios with attraction posters, concept art and music from Pixar experiences in Disney parks around the world."

It's like they should've just closed the whole hotel to get everything done in time. Not like people would've been upset. Maybe 1 or 2 Paradise Pier Hotel fans.

So they’re having their big fancy PR day yet will still put paying guests into these rooms?

She checked in yesterday, and it was stated all guests with bookings for Paradise Pier Hotel before the 30th would still get the rooms they booked. Some guests were lucky and put into the renovated rooms early.

Check-ins as of today should be in the new rooms only, as they start taking the old rooms out of inventory for their refresh.

Lol. Does anybody here remember when Disney wasn't hanging on by the skin of their teeth on every project?

I mean, given the scope, I do think Disney should have fully closed the hotel to do the renovation, simply due to the fact people paid to stay there at times when there was no Lobby, and no amenities to speak of.

But the actual room thing is pretty standard for a hotel. Rooms are taken out of inventory for remodel, once those room are brought back up, they take other old rooms out of inventory. Some people get new, some get old, until all inventory is complete.

I am unsure how many rooms they took out of service, but I have to assume they tried to take enough out to ensure they could start getting everyone into a new room once it officially opened today. I sincerely hope after today, no one is checking into an old room, but they may still have a transition period ...

I enjoyed reading the dozen or so comments on Twitter formerly known as X.

Particularly the repeated use of the word "Amazing!" to describe this...

The lobby area looks like any Courtyard by Marriott and the rooms look like a Springhill Suites by Marriott. For what Disney charges, they can and should be doing better here. The rooms should feel like an extension of the parks- not like you're checking in for a quick business trip at any run of the mill hotel.

Completely agree and predictably very disappointing. Also very much in line with the newer WDW resorts.

It's completely unclear to me why you'd pay Disney premium prices for any of the rooms. Character art on the walls isn't "Disney Magic".
