Toy Story AP Previews

So some days in September, the land that was already open for months will be exclusive to Passholders? That's dumb.

No, these will be after hours events, like DVC Moonlight Magic. Which is why they're not until September, leaves the summer months for later closing times (hopefully).

But unlike MM, it looks as if it's just TSL. That is just mean! And no free food either.

I guess because AP holders can go any time, it's not as much of a perk as for DVC. But you do still have a limited amount of people in the park/land so easy access to the rides. Like After Hours but without the up-charge.

That'd be great. Too bad my pass isn't included. So I think it's stupid to do it two months after it's open. But I guess it's nice they did anything I suppose.

It’s a stick in the eye to Silver Passholders that’s for sure. It would be one thing if done in early August when Silver already isn’t “good to go” but to do it when you can go and Disney basically plays bouncer and says “no entry” is just wrong.

Someone in a Facebook group for APs is bragging that they "won a contest" and are going to a "soft opening" of Toy Story Land this Friday. When people ask her for specifics, she's not replying. Is this really a thing, or is she full of it?

I've been following TSL posts faithfully on here, and from what I understand, it's only CMs who got to test Slinky or who have to go for dress rehearsals - and media, at the last minute - who are getting in ahead of time.

There is a Toy Story CM preview across the next week or so that allows CMs to bring friends and family. I would imagine this is what they are doing.

Indeed, other CMs have mentioned "they won a contest" which is a poor way to say that "they were randomly chosen in a lottery."

So no new news on when our AP previews will be in September? I'd like to book my flight.. I was already going to visit in September, but once i got the "you will be invited to a night for AP's only" email, I have held off on booking... now I want to make sure that it will coincide with my assigned AP event..

I'm interested to see what the crowds for this will be like a few weeks-months after opening. While it will be a nice addition, I find it hard to believe it will garner Pandora type attraction.

They will be insane because it will be on the front of park maps, resort promoting and incredibly low capacity/over complicated engineering like much of Disney's latest additions.
