I’m not sure if you realize this, but this is an unofficial fan site. What is posted here holds no bearing on any events planned (or, from what I’ve heard, absolutely not planned or announced yet) by Disney for Passholder Previews.

They’re just hoping to make the premiere by opening day. Don’t expect anything earlier.

The difference here is that most Disney projects are expected to be completed well before official opening to give time for previews and soft opening etc. Toy Story land will be down to the last minute.Yes as with every other construction project ever done.
Guess TWDC should fire all their projects managers because someone on the internet says they can’t get it done ahead of time for soft openings.

Peter's earned a greater reputation than that, and I don't think he's seeking anyone's firing.
By several accounts the land is behind schedule, and it is typical for new projects to be left time for soft openings. It's unfortunate for Operations to have to open cold directly for the public, any issues they run into will be magnified given that Disney usually has time to work out the kinks before opening.
Again all of this is based on speculation....
Has anyone seen them working 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends to get things done??? Because they are so far behind that they may not make it?

Disney was kicked off this site for soliciting funds... ever growing amounts of funds.

When I was there yesterday afternoon after 5 and over the weekend and saw nothing going on.... Maybe I missed seeing you there.
