Toy Story 4 is coming...wonder if a ride based on the new movie will go to DHS?

I have no information on this, but my guess would be that Toy Story Mania will remain as the only Toy Story based E-Ticket. I don't see them adding another, or basing it on an upcoming movie.

I was thinking since John Lasseter is set to Direct that he might have some pull on bringing in another ride concept to the park based on the Toy Story IP. But, I was just throwing it out there to see if any rumors where floating around.
I'm surprised Toy Story 4 is coming out and I'm surprised Lasseter is going to direct it.

Er.. is it really coming? I know about Finding Dory as as Nemo sequel and Cars 3 as definitely being planned too (very thrilled about that BTW) but so far I didn't hear about a Toy Story 4 project being confirmed by Pixar.

I can't see an attraction. I wouldn't call TSMM an E-Ticket. I'm sure TDO/Disney wants to think of it as one even if they know it isn't. It's a fun ride, I suppose, but for those who go solo or aren't the most competitive, it doesn't have re-ridability, IMO. I'd rather have an elaborate dark ride taking me through a new Toy Story adventure. They could have made it along the levels of Monsters Ride and Go Seek or even on the set level of Buzz. It's screens on probably really expensive material to make a box to hold the screen. As you ride through an obvious warehouse. And focused on a shooting ride isn't being immersed in an attraction, IMO.

At least the queue is really well done.

I don't really care if it's labelled a "D", an "E", or a "S-" (I made that last one up) but i'd argue its one of the most re-ridable ride on WDW property. On my last trip my family wanted to go on the ride again and again. I wouldn't even normally consider them competitive but they did love the competition it provided. it was even the mother - in - law and sister - in - laws favourite ride of the trip!

and I'm surprised we are getting Toy Story 4 but i'm a believer that we don't know if this is a good thing or not until we see the movie. They may have a brilliant concept up their sleeve that they just had to make the movie.

Good morning..
Just heard on the national news that Toy Story 4 is coming...and it will be a "love story".
To add to that IGN reported that the story was conceived by "the original Toy Story writing team: Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter and Lee Unkrich." However, the screenplay will be written by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack, based on the conceived story.

What do you mean by re-ridable?

So, to address the original post, I doubt we'd see a ride specifically based on Toy Story 4. But it seems plausible, and maybe even likely, that one or more of the "games" in TSMM could change to feature characters or a theme from the new movie. That would be the easiest way to incorporate elements of the movie into the parks.
