Toy Story 4 is coming...wonder if a ride based on the new movie will go to DHS?

I have no information on this, but my guess would be that Toy Story Mania will remain as the only Toy Story based E-Ticket. I don't see them adding another, or basing it on an upcoming movie.
Maybe they'll just add a scene from the movie (once it comes out obviously) as one of the scenes on the ride.

So how about that Toy Story 4 .... heh

Considering that Toy Story 2 and 3 were each as good if not better than Toy Story 1, I cannot really expect that Toy Story 4 would be bad. That said it will be hard to be as good as the first three. And I guess if we go on other series, Shrek 1-3 were all great and Shrek 4 was terrible. So who knows... :)

As for a new ride, I'd expect not. They have a Toy Story ride and it is very popular regardless of what letter ticket it would have been if they hadn't stopped using tickets 30 years ago. I could easily believe they might update some of the scenes, but that is easy. And I would personally love to see a play ground or some carnival rides. DHS needs some fluff rides desperately. But if they did build a play ground. I would expect that Honey I shrunk the kids playground would disappear.

Considering they have a restaurant and all that space with the HISTK play area I'd be surprised if they didn't do something with that area but it's hardly a priority at this point. So much other things to focus on, but I've been noticing that area and Studio Catering Company is right there ... they could enclose it and expand it to the play area. Or they could end up keeping the play area. I'd really like to hear some plans soon here Disney ... They could always duplicate Remy's Kitchen Garden from Paris. But still, that area is right around where they are likely expanding Pixar and who knows what else.

When I first heard the rumor of TS play-land, on this site, I thought we already have TSMM, can't Pixar pick another of their awesome movies to make a new attraction from. Then I saw this http://www.theverge.com/2014/11/6/7170773/toy-story-4-announced-pixar, talking about Toy story 4 coming out in 2017, where the play-land could fit nicely with the timing. I love all the TS movies and think the 4 one will most likely be great, mainly because John is working on it, but I don't know how they top the third one.

I still believe The incredible, UP, and Wall-ie should all have park presence, Toy story is well represented, in my opinion. So do you think Toy Story 4 will influence the direction, for any new attractions?

The opening scene from Up could make for a very dark ride.

Well, the thing is, you've got 3 movies, one TV special, numerous shorts, the Buzz Lightyear animated series, and another TV special and film both on the way. Toy Story has a bit bigger world to mine than Up or Wall-E, so it makes sense from a creative standpoint and not just a marketing standpoint to keep going back to that well.

Since this hasn't been brought up yet...

I believe something will happen similar along the lines of when Disney added Monsters University characters to Laugh Floor. Since Toy Story Mania is mainly composed of screens, it's probably very likely that they'll just add the new characters from Toy Story 4 into the already-existing ride with new animation featuring the new characters.

That's the only way I can see this happening.

I have still always believed that Wall-E should take over the storyline for Circle of Life: An Environmental Tale in Epcot, though.. That'd be pretty neat :)

I could see this. If I remember correctly, they did something similar when Toy Story 3 came out.

BTW I couldn't care less for the adding of another cheaply built and themed carnival ride "Toy Story Playland" section in DHS as they did already in DCA and WDS, that's definitely the abolute opposite of the high class hi-tech attractions I expect from Disney to counter Universals WWoHP.

Erm.. you DID watch Toy Story 3, did you? Or the Toy Story of Terror Halloween special? Or Partysaurus Rex? Andy goes to college now, is out of the story and Bonnie is the new owner of all his toys. And her toys added to the old bunch a lot of new characters.

I hope that, among all the fine acting he's done, Timothy Dalton is best remembered as voicing Mr. Pricklepants.

He is without a doubt the most interesting and amusing character that was added to the Toy Gang, I loved him especially in the Halloween Special. But I don't know what he sounds like if he is spoken by Timothy Dalton, I saw the films only in German so far and in the dubbed German version he speaks German with a swiss accent.

Interesting, and that makes a bit of sense considering his outfit looks somewhat Swiss influenced, at least to my coarse American eyes. Here in the States, Mr. P speaks with a crisp British accent, which makes sense as Timothy Dalton, the voice actor, is himself British.
