Toy Story 4 is coming...wonder if a ride based on the new movie will go to DHS?

Ohhh, ticket discussion! It's always fun to do.
With it's relatively low capacity, TSMM is the ride in which out of all of DHS, both old-school and new school Fastpasses are gone first. I don't know how many other C/D tickets for which this is true. Most agreed-upon E-tickets don't have this problem. If the ticket discussion was based around what brings guests in, and gathers the most guest demand, then there is no way TSMM is anything other than an E. It doesn't matter how much us as individuals love the ride (and IMO, I love it), but I don't see the valid argument that says this is anything other than an E ticket, when people would literally run from rope-drop to try and get Fastpasses.

More interesting to me though, with the release date of TS4 being in 2017, and the relatively quick construction time for most of the flat rides being talked about for the Toy Story Playland section rumored in DHS, what are the chances that they'll try and coincide this new park offering with the release of the new film?

If anything TS4 gets added, it will be an update to TSMM itself with potential new characters, new games, whatever. Basically, just like what they did when TS3 released.

Why is Rashida Jones from Parks & Rec writing Toy Story 4?... then again, Joss Whedon helped with the original Toy Story. Still weird lol
The actual story is already written and was written by the original Toy Story writing team of Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter and Lee Unkrich.

Rashida Jones and Will McCormack are just writing the screenplay, based on the story that they came up with. I agree Jones is an odd choice, but maybe she's actually good at doing that type of stuff. Does she have any history of anything like that? Did she do any writing for Parks and Rec?

Looks like Rashida Jones and Will McCormack co-wrote the screenplay for a 2012 film named Celeste and Jesse Forever, which has middling scores on Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes. Can't say I've ever heard of it or seen it.

E-ticket rides were not based on popularity ...

I meant re-ridability. A Ride where people really want to experience a ride again and again.

Have you family ever played a video game before ... Indianna Jones ... now that is a ride where you need to go on multiple times for all the details.

We already have two RIDES based off of this franchise.. The sad part is they're both the same concept basically. We don't need a third.

What we should get is an awesome audio animatronic/animated show for Pixar's "Inside Out" film coming out! They should re-create the Cranium Command theatre style as a show for DHS.

Good morning..
Just heard on the national news that Toy Story 4 is coming...and it will be a "love story".

Well, if it is a love story, maybe one of the storylines will feature a reunion between Woody and Bo Peep since she was absent from the third one. Maybe he and the rest of the gang set out to find her.

Can people be THAT surprised we're getting Toy Story 4? I know, TS3 was "perfect" but I feel like I was the only one who wasn't shocked at Toy Story 4.

I understand the love for TSMM but as I've said, for someone who often goes solo, and while it IS a fun ride, it's vastly vastly overrated in a park with very little to do. I can see why it's popular but at the same time I'm just not sure I get the appeal of shooting at a screen. I guess it's the motion of riding around? It's fun and quick but meh, honestly. To each their own :)

So, to address the original post, I doubt we'd see a ride specifically based on Toy Story 4. But it seems plausible, and maybe even likely, that one or more of the "games" in TSMM could change to feature characters or a theme from the new movie. That would be the easiest way to incorporate elements of the movie into the parks.

Probably something they should have been doing. Holiday overlays ... oh the ideas. Too bad they're cheapos.

It could also be that the new movie won't even be set in present time. There's a lot they could probably tell to help reboot the franchise while still tying it to the original.

I'd really like to see a movie where one of the humans actually catches them moving, and the film is about that.
