Great to get your Tower fix on both coasts, not the biggest fan of drop rides but I'll work up the courage for Tower:lol:

DHS-for exterior themeing, queue and the whole road leading up to TOT is unbeatable.
DCA- for the show scenes(not a fan of the 5th dimension room I can see the floor every time:(), and the 2 story loading

But I really want to see the TDS one! that one looks amazing!

side note SMRT-1 is that the hidden black cat!:sohappy:

DCA has the same drop sequence every time:( unlike DHS's random, there was word that WDI was testing random drops in DCA's a little bit ago but it was for TDS's :( DCA's also doesn't have the last video that plays after the drops have completed. Also if you time everything right at DCA when the doors open you can sometimes get a great view of DL's fireworks:sohappy:.

great find of the cat!

DHS all the way. The mirror effect at DCA is the ONLY better part. ToT at DHS looks the best, has the best drop sequence, and everything!

DCA isn't all bad, except for the loading process. Walking through that exit hallway to get to your elevator is just as bad as being able to see the uncompleted backside of Everest when you enter the Animal Kingdom parking lot. It ruins it.

I always preferred DCA over DHS just because of the mirror effect, it seems a little darker there too, IDK, but the sequence where the elevator moves forward in DHS never impressed me...

DHS in practically every regard.

DCA is cheap on sooo many levels...no outdoor themed queue area, the lightning hit building looks very cheap and 2 dimensional, the queue isn't as good in the boiler room, the voice I think sounds a lot less like Rod Serling (probably used a different actor) IMO than the one at DHS, but the biggest problem is there's no 5th dimension room.

I don't say that because the 5th dimension room is the best thing, but the mere fact that your elevator car moves FORWARD makes it feel a lot more supernatural to me, plus the effects before you get to the drop shaft...overall just tons and tons better.

TDS has the same basic ride layout and sequence of DCA (unless they added random drops? not sure) but the theming inside and out is incredible, long intro story and cool "how'd they do that" effects, and at night, the supernatural look of the building, well, look it up on youtube if you really want to know :)

DHS by a longshot. Everytime I go to DCA I always feel like I'm getting a cheap imitation of the real thing (it's still a fun ride though). As the posts above has said, it's really better in every way. DCA feels like a theme park attraction, DHS is on an entirely different level and is just a killer thematic experience all around. The mirror effect in DCA is neat, but it's not that cool and you can get the same thing in Journey Into Imagination across the way.

Thread title made my heart stop

First things first, when I saw the thread title, it freaked me out a little. I was worried that something terrible had happened at DHS. Of course logic later told me that it likely would have been all over the news if something had happened, but you don't always think of that when you're initially in shock.

All that aside, DHS without question. The DCA version is par for the course of DCA itself... a ridiculously scaled back version. Nothing about it is better. To me, the worst atrocity with the DCA version is that it's lacking the detailed outside queue like the one at DHS. I realize they have space limitations at DCA, but this is one time where I think it would have been worth the real estate. The outside grounds of the DHS version really help to build the ambience and to give you the feeling that it truly is an actual old hotel.

Here we go again....

Both are excellent. Orlando has a lot going for it the other 2 (3) don`t, but the AGV has so many parameters that can cause a stop or cascade. The other 2 (3) have unique features, but so does the original.

For the record the exterior and landscaping of WDSP is greater than DHS. You can`t compare TDS since the theme is totally different, and dosn`t compare to the TZ overlay. As a structure and ride system it is identical to Paris and Anahiem. Ony the cosmetics are different.

I find the queue in DCA a bit more interesting...the boiler room is smaller, but the one boiler is made to have more of a face, and if you stand by the outside wall, you can occasionally her the little girls voice...kind of like the TV sequence in Poltergeist.

Oh wow, the Mgm one is wayyyy better. I only did the one in DCA maybe 2 times total. I enjoyed the Maliboomer more than their ToT. It takes way to long to board, I didnt really like how you walk all the way into the elevator. I liked the effect of rain in the preshow though, and how you first come upon the hotel. But overall the mgm one is sooo much better its not even funny. Im glad that its different though, but WDW wins with this one.

Oh yes, I almost forgot the un-themed hallway before you get IN the elevator...really odd.
