Hi. I keep hearing about these towel animals that housekeeping leaves sometimes. They sound really neat. I would love to see one. Does anyone have any pictures of these towel animals?

Thanks:animwink:

Here's the one that Fran talked about us getting on the Disney Magic back in 2000

And we had this waiting for us on the second room we got at WL last month

Not sure why these are showing up as links and not the pictures.

Thank you to all. They are really neat. I hope we get one when we stay at All Star Movies. My son would get a kick out one.

We've only ever gotten 'Towel Animals' on one WDW vacation. We stayed at the Carribean Beach Resort, and each time we arrived in our room my sister's stuffed animals were arranged into a different scene, also accompanied by new 'Towel Animals'.
I should mention our ages were 16, 22, and 24... Still, it was awesome.

We stayed at YC in Decemeber and had towel animals every day. We couldn't bring ourselves to use them and the kids wouldn't have let us anyway. But by the end of our 4 day trip we had quite a collection.

We never had much luck in getting them no matter what we did. This trip we had my daughter bring some stuff animals with her to leave on the bed. She took with her a Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy. That collection got bigger each day as she bought quite a few stuffed animals on the trip and won one cheesy frog at Dinorama. Everyday there was somthing left on the bed with the stuffed animals. Bunnies, bird, basket of flowers, angel, dog, etc. Here are some shots of what we would find when we would come back to the Wilderness Lodge. I did not take shots everyday and regret it. Our cleaning lady was Gloria and she was the best!

I got a duck this time at AS Music in Dec. (He's living in my bathroom right now....) At the GF, they posed some of my stuffed animals, but nothing overly special....Although stuffed puppy now thinks he deserves the remote everynight..... wants a bed time story like he had at the GF (also not sure how much room service they ordered....)

Ok... The question is... castmembers....

do they give classes in this????? It seems from what I've seen, they use the same stickers and such. I guess it all depends on who your mousekeeper is and how they do your room. It is fun, though to have a surprize when you come back after a day in the parks.

I've never had a towel animal, but my stuffed animals were always waiting for me (DL/POR). Are they new (haven't been since 2/02)?
(yes, I am 22, and yes, my stuffed cat is joining me on my upcoming trip).

At Coronado last week, we went a couple of days with no animals. The girls on our trip saw some animals in other people's windows and lamented not being left any. I wrote a note to mousekeeping and said we really enjoy the towel animals and when we returned to the room that day, these fellows greeted us.

I think the bird is a peacock because of his broad tail, but maybe he is a turkey, or a duck.

The bunny is easy enough.

In case you are wondering, I left a tip for mousekeeping every day of the trip. We had two connecting rooms, with the connecting doors left open each day, and the towel animals were only left in the room where I'd left the request on the note pad.

Are you allowed to keep? If so, I am really bummed because we stayed at POR in Jan and got a bunny and an awesome sunbather on a lounge chair. They were so cute and my kids would have loved them for souveniers. :(

I think it really helps if there are kids staying in the room. Our favorite was a monkey hanging from the ceiling on DCL. It was very clever.

The BEST ever, though, had to be the waterslide scene the housekeeper made up for my niece and nephew last year at the Wilderness Lodge, using their Disney plush characters. It went from the top bunk to the bottom and into a pool on the floor...VERY FUN!

My family stayed at WL in December 2004 and...

We stayed at Coranado last April. Two adults a 10 and 6 year old. I left $5 and a note thanking housekeeping everyday and we came home to an awesome creation everynight. Each note would comment on the treasure we found the day before and we always left our souveniers from the day before. My family found this was one of the best parts of staying in the park compared to the timeshare condo we usually stay in down the road.

That is so cool! I have never had any towel animals come visit :(
At Christmas, they did have a free stand at ASMusic where they showed all the guests how to make different towel animals, then you made your own! It was a very cool idea.

I usually get them, and I got them almost everyday when I went with Ryan (Heather, this is Marisa, haha go disney power / welcome to the boards)...

We didn't get them the first two days, but then i left a pile of stuffed animals out on the bed and like evidence of my Pal Mickey and they came... maybe a note would help?

Or maybe my childlike innocence / ability to look so young came through!

When we went in December 2005 we received our 1st towel animal ever. It was a peacock. It was a cute suprise. We left a tip everyday also for the mousekeeper.:)
