What are peoples exprience with the crowd projections on the touring plans website? How accurate are they? The calendar shows 4's and 6's on the weekdays that I am there.
Heres what I find odd about their predictions. The Sunday after Thanksgiving11/29 is rated a 4. The Monday after Thanksgiving11/30 is rated as 6. Then Tuesday is a 4, Wednesday is a 6, Thursday is a 4. Logically you would think the Sunday after Thanksgiving would be more crowded then the Monday when everyone returns home from holiday. But it is not according to the numbers. Then to go from a 4 to a 6 on a Wednesday. Am I just reading too much into this?
I would actually agree because Most (not all of course) people LEAVE on Sunday. They travel home to be at work bright and early on Monday, so they aren't going to the parks on Sunday.
Monday would be a little more crowded because people might arrive on a Sunday (only to depart the next Sunday) and Monday would be their first day in the parks.
I will say we experienced this first hand last December. Sunday was the best day at the Magic Kingdom ever - walk on to everything! Yay! We're testing it out again this weekend. We arrive tomorrow and Sunday will be our first day in the parks.
BUt would EMH be taken in consideration? the reason i ask we arrive on the 21st and plan to go to the MK on the 22nd. On touringplans they stated to avoid the MK on the 22nd, but they also state to avoid parks w/ EMH.
I really do not use their crowd numbers because they want you to avoid the parks on EMHs day. I use the cheat sheats and the preplanned guides (they are phenomenal). As a single traveler, I can cover a lot of ground.

I am not putting that much into it. I am also doing a solo trip so the single rider lines will be my friend
