Heard on another forum about a "chicken elevator" for TOT - anyone have the skinny on that? I would like to do the ride again - because after the drop I don't remember anything that came before. But as you can tell - I HATE the drops just not my thing.

Yeah, I thought there was always a spot you could escape if you 'chickened' out. Don't know where it is though, I love the drops!

Just tell them you do not want to ride when you get to the loading area and they will show you where to go..

If you are in the broiler room looking at the wall that the elevators are on, you will see 5 set of doors. The one in the middle is the, not themed, chicken elevator. :wave:

I used the chicken elevator. My mom, sister's fil, my 3 yr old and I wanted to go through the line but didn't want to ride. We just told the CM and he let us go out that way.

You can go all the way through the queue, library and boiler room before taking the "chicken" exit. You can't experience the ride without the drops, though. Once you're strapped in and the door closes, that's it. :lol:

My husband and daughter (7) used the chicken elevator. They wanted to look at all the props along the way, then just told the CM in the loading area they wanted to exit. I think my husband was glad to have our daughter with him so it appeared to be her with the fear, not him (It really was him). She liked the ride the first time but just didn't feel the need to do it again. Plus, then we didn't have to split up and find each other again. They said the CM's were very nice about it. BTW-He did that on Rock-N-Roller coaster too.

Neither...unless they've added some speakers recently. :lol:

It's just your run of the mill elevator...but if you're lucky, the bellhop might look around in terror and grasp the siderail after hitting the down button.

Darn! I'm not a big fan of the ride but I guess I will just stick to falling 13 stories instead. Now we just have to get some speakers installed so everyone can listen and enjoy some popular music with no words.

One of these days I want to bring an iPod with speakers with me, ask for the chicken exit, and see what the bellhop's reaction is when I start playing the "You are the passengers on a most uncommon elevator..." audio clip as the Chicken Exit's doors begin to close... :lol:
