What attractions would make this list? You don't have to rank them in order unless you want. Just name 10 and you can include the overseas Disney rides as well.

Yeah yeah.... so`s The Am Ad! And both are far superior from a technology standpoint to Everest - though good, DAKs mountain offers nothing new.

Armageddon is a show in the round - a group of 40-50 guests at a time enter a replica of the MIR Space Station control room. The doors close, the lights dim, the show begins. The computer picks up meteors on radar. They get closer. Hi Def screens open in the walls representing windows. We see them hit the station. Pipes burst. Smoke spews from them and through the floor. Bits of ceiling collapse. A corridor leading off from control bursts into flames (with an air curtain to protect the guests) - the same safety technology is also in the finale, when the entire centre of the room bursts into flames (as the floor drops (!) and the lights go out)

What is the most advanced part of the show is what guests can see but can`t understand. An airlock blows out, spewing sparks all over. The sparks, and smoke from the ruptured ceiling pipes, flow out of the airlock and into space beyond. Stand nearby, and you feel the wind rushing past you as the air `escapes` into `space` - before the emmergency door closes. Here`s the clever bit. The entire main show space in a vacum chamber. You enter through 2 sets of double doors for a reason. As the show begins, the air pressure inside the chamber is increased, and the pressure in the intermediate room surrounding the show space is decreased. As the airlock blows, the high pressure floods into the vacum - just like it would in space. Totally real, and totally convincing.

Wow, that actually sounds fairly cool. I've always been told it was an awful attraction but that sounds nice. (A similar concept, but more advanced to what Universal does with Twister and Backdraft). I'd actually like to see something like that here.

Nobody mentioned MONSTERS LAUGH FLOOR or TURTLE TALK!

And while not technically "rides", they are more technologically advanced than anything else I've seen.

This thread is getting some surprise answers. I guess I probably should have phrased the question a little differently. Maybe not technologically advanced, but the attractions with the most complicated engineering with regards to vehicle movement, animatronics, special effects etc. I love Turtle Talk and Monsters INC, but I don't think they rival, say, Everest or Test Track in this regard.

And I'm surprised no one's mentioned Indiana Jones at DL.

Well, no, if that's the criteria they don't.
But Real Time Animation, in my opinion, "out-techs" any sort of ride on a track or robotics.
Just sayin'.
