Just a quick note - Disney is in the process of removing all references of "Indy" from the Speedway in Tomorrowland. The contract they had ran out.

Sounds like an "IN" to me for NASCAR. Bruton Smith (head of Speedway Motorsports, Inc., which owns Charlotte, Bristol, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Sonoma, and others) I BET has been on the phone with somebody. Or maybe International Speedway, which owns Daytona and others, and is owned by the France family which also owns NASCAR. ONLY problem is, it's a road course...and we NASCAR fans only tolerate 2 of those each year...:)

The Indy Cars are such a great ride - I realy enjoy being out on the track, rounding the bend at the back, and feeling like I've been left unsupervised to have fun.

Sorry about the name change, though. I call them the Indy Cars...:(

I wouldn't care if they'd get rid of that attraction. It would be cool if they could put a futuristic/science fiction racing ride in that space. Simulated hover cars or something along those lines.

What if they rethemed Autopia to be more...I don't know...Tomorrowland?

Nothing says "Transition between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland" like gasoline and fender benders. :)

That would be awesome! But they would probably only tie in Cars. Synergy makes the world go round you know!

i wish they would make it modern and futuristic. I mean, its fun for kids to drive in a controlled enviornment. i use to like it until i got my license when i turned 16. I just go on with my cousin so she can have the experience i had. i use to think i was cool bc i was driving. Now its when im actually driving a car. also i wish they would put indys at driver ed centers. SO MANY KIDS STINK AT DRIVING . i think it would be safe so they can see who actually can be a safe driver. i remeber a girl we called bumper car jane bc she hit cars no matter what she did . needless to say they failed her after one class. The funny think is i tried to help her by going first to show her how a good driver drives, since i was the star student. when i parall parked, she got out and said my turn. she tried, but hit two cars. The intructer freaked out and said she was no longer welcome in his driver ed class, she failed, and would prob. never get her license. Funny thing, i was in line at burger king, and i heard alot of people screaming, here she magically got her licens, and just hit a bunch of cars, and then hit into the speaker box. Some how she got her license. some times i wonder if she got one of those cardbord licenses. i think she should take a trip to disney and learn to drive on the indy speed way so she can see even little kids are better drivers then her

Link it to Toontown and bring in the Cars theme...or at least add more Mickey, Minnie, and the gang to the mix. It's time to do a Matterhorn and switch it from Tomorrowland to either Toontown or Fantasyland. Please no NASCAR.

Maybe they should just make it an Autopia and give the whole thing a entire makeover so its not so dated looking.

Isnt there a hybrid or electric cars that were being tested? Might as well take a page out of HKDL's Autopia.
