Vintage 1971?Still better than that unthemed bridge...
One of the phase one conundrums.
Vintage 1971?Still better than that unthemed bridge...
First off thank you and as a fan of the parks and wanting to improve them where it can be done, this has been on my mind.It is surprising that the bridge and backstage areas were never dealt with... They could have done a lot more with the train scenery... It is a huge attraction and a huge part of the park's history that they continue to ignore... There should be a lot more set dressing along the route...and things that would be great after dark as well...
The Speedway . now that it is smaller than ever, really needs sets like other incarnations have had... Even if it is as simple as the botanical settings they used in Hong Kong...

Lop a couple of inches off the stacks? Are they all the same height?Take it with a grain of salt, but there’s a rumor that the new roadbed/track was built up higher than normal and now the WDWRR can’t clear one of the tunnels. (not sure if it’s Pirates or Splash)
I'm no train professional (ignore the username), but wouldn't lowering the roadbed be a somewhat "easy" task? It'd be a undertaking of course but you'd just be removing a certain amount of gravel, right?Take it with a grain of salt, but there’s a rumor that the new roadbed/track was built up higher than normal and now the WDWRR can’t clear one of the tunnels. Pirates getting demolished confirmed!Take it with a grain of salt, but there’s a rumor that the new roadbed/track was built up higher than normal and now the WDWRR can’t clear one of the tunnels. (not sure if it’s Pirates or Splash)
Pirates and Splash. We can’t be sure which one is the problem and the Imagineering Team’s 2021 project was the Three Caballeros, so they don’t have the time for this.Pirates getting demolished confirmed!
The tunnels for Pirates go UNDER the track.Pirates getting demolished confirmed!
No. Walter is the tallest. He’s 11’ 11”. Not sure about the height of Lilly, Roger, and Roy.Lop a couple of inches off the stacks? Are they all the same height?

If that is true I would hate to be the contractor or the civil engineer who "missed the grade." I would guess to go back and lower the track would involve at least 300 feet of track to keep the grade change smooth. It would probably be less expensive to raise the tunnel roof.
Thats a big Mickey Mouse scam, everyone knows that the boats wait for the train to pass and then the tunnel fills with water to allow the boats to pass. The tunnels for Pirates go UNDER the track.
From the same company that installed the sensors upside down in rise of the resistance? Surely not!!!!Take it with a grain of salt, but there’s a rumor that the new roadbed/track was built up higher than normal and now the WDWRR can’t clear one of the tunnels. (not sure if it’s Pirates or Splash)
I’d take the top off the trains for that Test Track feel. It’s The Sunshine State. Let people enjoy the sunshine.Just put new, smaller wheels on the trains.
Yes, and why should people riding the train be denied the chance to enjoy the 3:00 p.m. rainstorms like the rest of us!I’d take the top off the trains for that Test Track feel. It’s The Sunshine State. Let people enjoy the sunshine.
Honestly, people smell. Everyone needs a rinse by 3. They could fix this if they make Frog Princess Falls as drenching as Ripsaw Falls.Yes, and why should people riding the train be denied the chance to enjoy the 3:00 p.m. rainstorms like the rest of us!
Do I need to wear a mask when I'm riding at 3, or can I enjoy the liquid sunshine directly?Yes, and why should people riding the train be denied the chance to enjoy the 3:00 p.m. rainstorms like the rest of us!
Then they must have changed the grade quite a bit. I would hate to find out how they figured this out if true. Hopefully no incidents. I would like to think this is just a rumor because it will be a lot of work to fix.Take it with a grain of salt, but there’s a rumor that the new roadbed/track was built up higher than normal and now the WDWRR can’t clear one of the tunnels. Do either of wdw tunnels have ballast? I’m almost certain the splash tunnel is ties directly on concrete.Take it with a grain of salt, but there’s a rumor that the new roadbed/track was built up higher than normal and now the WDWRR can’t clear one of the tunnels.
