I clearly remember that stairway... Good thing it was a hot day without that many tourists.

Where exactly would this have been taken? And you gotta love the old ODF costume on that PC vendor in the background.
Roughly where the first Frontland station was built. The water tower used to stand opposite the north end of the platform until fall 1990.

Hey Marni1971.

What happened to all the stuff stored in there??

Going to Ebay or saved to use some other time or put into a black hole....

And from the picture sir Goofy had of Stitch's stage show I would say Stitch has the ability of either..

1. Can make audience invisable or
2.Make audience disappear or
3.Scare them away in droves.....

Really could use a sit down restaurant there.

Actually, any kind of restaurant...TL Noodle station is closed so much.

Wondering about Timekeeper also. Nice if they added it to the TTA. Or the other robot form that show also. Put them in the old skyway buckets along the way and you have become "green" minded Disney!!!!

Reuse NOT abuse the old stuff.

Actually, how about they PERMANENTLY move the noodle station down there so that way they can reopen the TL Terrace like the way it used to be.

Might do... :D

It's hard to comprehend Frontierland that empty. I didn't start going until 1986, so I don't remember the days of these photos.

It's nuts how they have those tiny paths with no railings, and all the grass.

And those costumes - I mean characters - are SOOOOO bad looking. Donald's legs don't look disguised at all, and his Caballero friend is just a dude with a giant pink bird head on. So cheesy! :sohappy:

What was behind those windows?
Once a shop that sold a variety of things. I think it closed back around the mid 1990s.

Reminds me of the old Frontierland Railroad Station:

I suspect that Disney might be building something here. I mean, why else do the demolition? The "it's going to improve Space Mountain's sight lines" argument doesn't feel right, given the state of the economy and the fact that it's been unoccupied for ten years. What's the rush now?

If I had to guess, I'm going with sit-down restaurant, with an outside terrace for dining.

Len

I'm thinking along the same lines. They're putting something in its place. What it is I don't know but a restaurant seems like a good bet.

Were those dark tinted windows and pay phones really under the Skyway Station?!? Wow. I guess I have never ventured under there, in all my 26 years of visiting.

What was behind those windows?

It was, for a time, Ursa's Major Minor Hat Shop - where you could get mouse ears embroidered and the like.

I hope not. If anything it would be a cool little preview into what is to come...

As for the graphicness of the photos, at least the demolition of the old skyway station won't make you cry like those Horizons photos...
I honestly don't think they would EVER let that happen. And, if some people get their way, the TTA has been modified and has no view into the mountain. Idk why anyone would want that to happen with the TTA, but they do. Either way, I believe they will have a way around people getting a sneak preview.
