Would you really say least favorite?

The first time he built a TL, it was small because of money constraints....And then it was just a PITA to have to refurb and update every few years.

Several Imagineers claimed that Walt initially viewed T-Land as a necessity: "Since we have a Frontierland and a Fantasyland, I guess we should have a Land of Tomorrow." I don't think he wasn't interested as much as he wasn't sure what to do with it, hence why the other lands were more important for opening day.

Needless to say, he reversed that opinion later, and John Hench has said that Space Mt. was originally Walt's idea. (Which is why I don't agree with the "all-Disney-rides-should-be-for-families-with-toddlers" idea.)

But the family, tirian! The family!

Looking at the pictures the restrooms look like they are going too? I thought these were staying and from what I remember when I last went in they had been refurbed not too long ago.

It looks like they scrapped everything! Now they just need to put a Wall-E animatronic on top of the heap and call it a day.

They should use Wall-E as the icon for major demo projects, like the patron saint of waste and demolition or something. Use him on signs announcing major refurbs. Scatter a few of him around a project site at night, tinkering away like Christmas elves at the mall. In no time, he would be as omnipresent and irritating as Stitch. His mere presence would strike fear and dread into visitors walking to their favorite attractions ("OMG I see three Wall-E's sitting in front of the Country Bears! NOooooo!!"). WDI could even use it as a threat ...or a tease. Imagine the excitement the day they mistakenly placed the giant inflatable Wall-E dry humping the side of Spaceship Earth when it was supposed to go over on the Hat.

The restrooms are staying. What is currently being torn down is the second floor, and half of the first floor that's to the Space Mountain side, the area under the Skyway boarding area.

In Photo 4, the restrooms are out of frame to the right.

I suspect that Disney might be building something here. I mean, why else do the demolition? The "it's going to improve Space Mountain's sight lines" argument doesn't feel right, given the state of the economy and the fact that it's been unoccupied for ten years. What's the rush now?

If I had to guess, I'm going with sit-down restaurant, with an outside terrace for dining.

Len, I believe you're right. I suspect we'll see the King of all DVC kiosks there. Did you know it's Disney's Best Kept Secret?

Cosmic Ray's.
Ah. I was close...
I still hope they place another water feature somewhere there. I hate to lose aesthetics.
Agreed. Even if they don't do that...Why not a small green area? TL could use it.

Never knew that, per say. It is odd, however, becuase he was quite the visionary.:D

And yep, I agree with the last statement.

I'm sure Walt did his "pollinating" and gave him the idea in some form.:D

Greenery. A nice place to relax. Why must we over cram the parks!?

Indeed! Our tomorrowland lacks the even basic landscaping that Disneyland has, not to mention to Matterhorn, Forest with superhighways and Monorails, and picturesque lagoon with submarines plying the clear blue waters.

:dazzle:

I made myself sad.

I do like our flowering trees in Planetary Plaza, though...but yeah, we need more. Water, especially.
