This leads me to wonder if the opening date for the TTA may have been pushed back because of the eye sore the demolition is causing. Maybe not, but just a thought.

BTW...the title is hilarious!!!

To me it seems like TTA wouldn't open until SM does with the view you will be getting when passing in front of SM.

I hope not. If anything it would be a cool little preview into what is to come...

As for the graphicness of the photos, at least the demolition of the old skyway station won't make you cry like those Horizons photos...

First we lost Horizons, then the Contemporary North Garden Wings, and now the Skyway station. All important parts of Walt Disney World history.

Yet a certain hat over at the studios endures. There's just something wrong with that picture.

AMEN!!!! Why can't the Chinese Theater be the icon?? Anyways, off subject.

Sad to see the Skyway finally go, butt he ride has been closed for quite some time. At least we know now why they keep TTA closed.

I suspect that Disney might be building something here. I mean, why else do the demolition? The "it's going to improve Space Mountain's sight lines" argument doesn't feel right, given the state of the economy and the fact that it's been unoccupied for ten years. What's the rush now?

If I had to guess, I'm going with sit-down restaurant, with an outside terrace for dining.

I'm going to jump in before someone honestly tells you something that's just an Internet rumor. The hat's placement has NOTHING to do with theater "copyrights"—architecture cannot be protected in such a way. Plus, the water tower, not the theater, was the park's icon. :)

It's hard to believe that at one time, that entire side of Tomorrowland was nothing more than a wall and the Skyway building!

Oh I know the theater could never be the Icon, but ever since that hat went in the Earful Tower has lost alot of attention. It used to be all over the maps and commercials. I haven't seen a recent map so it may be back on it but the hat has kinda taken it's place as the new "focal point" of Studios.

The hat will go down in the same book with the Epcot wand. Some people love it, some hate it. I hate it. Not as much as the HSM show though. lol

And truthfully... I don't need a better view of the Arcade.
