Tomorrowland new entrance

I agree that Autopia should be removed or at least update it so that portions of a rebuilt track use more air space on a multi level tomorrowland.
What if the Autopia utilized part of the people mover track? The cars would have to be redesigned to look cool driving on the platform. It would be even better if there was no center rail and were electric. The cars would keep them "on track" with trackless tech even if there is a crazy ten year old driving.

I’m just going to get this out of the way right now. I don’t think baby Yoda is that cute. 😮

I'm sure this photo will change your mind...

So another auction is coming up and there's a piece of Tomorrowland 2055 concept art that's listed as "one of a kind" so it may be worth a share here:

I haven't seen this before.

Awesomeness.
Glad to see this turn up.

People seem to forget that THIS was the Tomorrowland that Tony Baxter and his team wanted to build originally.
Eddie Sotto, Bruce Gordon, and others were working with him on '2055' but sadly it didn't get built as hoped for.
The Park ended up with a very different Tomorrowland '1998' instead.

Budget cuts, internal politics, and other elements chipped away so that in the end it turned out to be quite a contrast in scope.
Would be nice to see this concept revisited.

Now that is how concept art should look. They shouldn't steal artwork from 1998 and add a few elements in front of it.

I distinctly remember waiting for Star Tours as young as kindergarten and seeing this tower and thinking, "Oh, that's so supposed to be the power coupling from the beginning of Attack of the Clones," so it honestly surprised me when I learned it was a 1998 addition.

Amazing artwork! Really does a great job demonstrating the vision of the skilled designers working on the project. Also a stark contrast from the concept 'art' Disney puts out today, which feel bland and corporate in comparision. Is there no one in the company that can pick up a pen and paper and emulate the art of old?

What is crazy is that there are often cases where better art does exist, it just is not published.

Don't forget the original pieces of concept art for Fantasmic before it's 1992 debut.

In the Parks
No
So now that the holidays are over, are they going to continue their work on this new entrance, or are they waiting for the hoards of people coming to see RotR to die down first? </partial sarcasm>

I imagine that terrible Beauty and the Beast singalong will soon make it's way to the California parks. For whatever reason Disney seems to keep Filler-magic in the Muppet theater, so I imagine it will soon be in the Tomorrowland theater and replace that HS musical the series preview show.

Or even worse Great Moments -shivers-

The HS musical show preview was removed 2 weeks ago and replaced with the Star Wars: Path of the Jedi show. Which I don't believe is even an updated video from the last.
