News Tomorrowland love

When Space Mountain first opened there was no sound in the strobe tunnel. It was Tom Fitzgerald (WDI) who was a cast member working at the Haunted Mansion at the time that suggested adding the "ever ascending musical sound" to the tunnel.
Wait is that real?!?! If so, that's an awesome piece of trivia. I love it.

The rumor I saw is that it will be Discoveryland, which... doesn't fit the land either? If they remake it to look like Paris it'd be neat, but to me it fits even less with the current rides than Tomorrowland does.

I agree completely it doesn't fit the land. They would have to re-do almost everything. They couldn't just add a simple paint job to fix it. Paris looks amazing and it is by far the best one in the world. Paris was made for it and it looks amazing. Though I think trying to make it look kinda like it would be a huge mistake. Hopefully the new dude can continue doing good stuff with like the rocks and not make it horrible.

Listen, if they used a bit of the space in the old arcade and turned it into a Miles meet and greet, I would not mind at all. It's a great show, and he's literally FROM TOMORROWLAND.

I've never watched that show (as an adult male with no kids, I don't frequently watch disney jr), but it wouldn't surprise me if they used it as a testing ground for ideas for a tomorrow land upgrade. See how metallic blue rocks look in a tonorrowland setting before painting. Test new logos and color schemes. Even get some feedback.

I remember the quiet strobe tunnel... adding the sound really heightened the drama...that is why I am baffled they can never get the re-entry tunnel correct... it was a great effect when it worked...now it is justy plain stupid... you can't tell me that they could figure out how to sync the sound wity the vehicle back in 1975, and now it is too complicated...

Yeah, it's a fun show. I think the only thing that hurts it is the 11-minute format. I think it would be a lot better if they did 22-minute full episodes like Sofia the First.
I think a lot of shows are just leaning to 11 minutes to keep the attention on very little kids.
Alvin and the Chipmunks new series is in that format too.
And most european cartoons for kids seem to be that way.

It's usually that shows either are aiming for a younger audience or are going for an Adventure Time style of storytelling.

And as far as Miles in the park, I've never seen the show, but I don't see the harm in a M&G if he's popular with kids and it isn't intrusive. Maybe set it near the Buzz Lightyear one. I'm not sure why people on this thread are recoiling so much at any mention of Miles. It seems like a decent enough Disney jr show from what I've seen. I mean, it's aimed at young kids and toddlers, what do you expect? Firefly? And aren't the M&Gs primarily for that age range anyways?

I don't know if it has anything to do with the age of the kids- many shows, ostensibly aimed at tweens and older on both CN & Disney XD, also use that format.

To be fair most original Cartoon Network Series of the 90's were simply two 11 minute episodes packaged as one. Now they simply separate them into single episodes.
