It's usually that shows either are aiming for a younger audience or are going for an Adventure Time style of storytelling.

And as far as Miles in the park, I've never seen the show, but I don't see the harm in a M&G if he's popular with kids and it isn't intrusive. Maybe set it near the Buzz Lightyear one. I'm not sure why people on this thread are recoiling so much at any mention of Miles. It seems like a decent enough Disney jr show from what I've seen. I mean, it's aimed at young kids and toddlers, what do you expect? Firefly? And aren't the M&Gs primarily for that age range anyways?

I think my first thought was to let's not add this to that section of the park.

I don't think M&G are mainly for that age range. If you look at the people in the lines, they are all over the place...i've been in many lines where there aren't many children at all (I could see anything Disney Jr being mainly smaller children and their families).

I don't know if it has anything to do with the age of the kids- many shows, ostensibly aimed at tweens and older on both CN & Disney XD, also use that format.
I have not seen any "older than 9" show that has the 11 minute thing in my entire life.
I mean.. I dont remember seeing shows like Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, DuckTales, Rescue Rangers, Biker mice fromMars and more ( for the "teen" crowd ) ever used the smaller 11 segments.
They were all for younger than 9 (like Pet Patrol, Adventures of Alfred the Hedgehog, Alviiin and the chipmunks..etc..)

Adventure Time, Star Vs. The Forces of Evil, and Regular Show are in the eleven minute format, and I would certainly qualify them as "older than 9". AT in particular has so many old school D&D references that I wonder if the target audience wasn't Gen X-ers all along.

The 11 minute format for older audiences has gained a lot of popularity with the rise of adventure time and regular show. Steven Universe is another popular show with older audiences that is 11 minutes. Star Vs was already mentioned. I'm sure there are others, but those are the only recent cartoons I've really watched other than gravity falls. (other than like an episode or two of something with my little cousin). Oh! and phineas and ferb had an older audience following and 11 minute episodes

Well if that is the case it'll certainly give us a definitive answer to "Will Tomorrowland's name change?"

Anyone else here expecting something in the vain of the Doctor Who theme? A musical score befitting a Discovery Adventure vibe with elements that allude to the passing of time and with bits of sound effects to help tie it all together. (Theremin?) I'm thinking mostly Orchestral with some brass instruments doing impressions of Steampunk machinery intertwined with melodic strings and plucks evoking the ticking thought process of a scientist testing and tinkering with his discovery or creation. I assume it will be very uplifting.

Sounds great; just not for "Tomorrowland"

But if name change is eminent I can see why THIS music would no longer work:

...the best music of any MK land.

Tomorrowland is getting updates, so the music updating makes sense. It doesn't necessarily mean the name is changing. I highly doubt the name will cchange. It will take more than an updated soundtrack to convince me.

I was just there last night. I have failed the WDWMagic community by not noticing :banghead:
Don't feel to bad, I, personally, have never been obsessed enough to notice that kind of stuff. To me it's just background noise. Pleasant noise yes, but, just noise anyway. There are so many things that are played on the loops, especially on Main Street, that are songs from the turn of the 20th century, that I just hum along if I know them or enjoy listening if I don't. I think that the only one that I particularly notice is when they play "now is the best time" in the background.

Apart from Gravity Falls. I have not seen any of the other shows. Also I dont think Phineas is expected for older audience.
Of all these shows, it seems the most geared towards young kids below 12. Are they really that good?
I only noticed that Star vs is getting pretty popular on social sites. Slowly replacing the audience lost by Gravity Falls ending.
On the other side.. Steven Universe as a huge following. Specially teens and adult women (all the people who I follow who mention steven universe.. are adults in their 20's )
