I get the feeling we might get the total renovation that Space needs/deserves, but it will probably come ~2020 so it is done for the 50th, but comes after the WIR attraction opens (something new in TL) and after Star Wars is open (something big elsewhere in WDW to draw crowds).
If it can last that long. Disneyland's went down very suddenly for its track replacement.

I guess this is as good a thread as any to post this in, but I had this thought the other day- Could it be possible that Buzz SRS might not be that much longer for this world? I think it might just feel weird with TSL over in DHS. Plus, I have to imagine the theming in the queue/exterior of the Alien/Buzz spinner ride would just be way too similar. Some sort of retheme to BH6 or something by the 50th wouldn't surprise me.

And the Disneyland Buzz is superior to the WDW version.

The ride's still really popular though, certainly the most popular ride besides SM in Tomorrowland. I can't say I'd be surprised if it eventually got removed, but I feel like it'd be pretty low on the to-do list.
Personally I'd love it if they did a significant refurb to make it more in line with Land's version, though.

I'd rather a Hero's Duty ride to go with their Sugar Rush in Stitch plans.

It just has better gun mounts. The "We will return Zurg to the store, he's been a bad toy" ending automatically disqualifies that ride for superiority status

A question for the engineer and construction folks. Would it be physically possible to completely demo the current SM track and support structure and construct an entirely new coaster without having to do major demo/rebuild work on the building itself? If all of the track (only) was replaced, is the support structure capable of handling the stresses of running the ride at its original 1975 speeds?

So @marni1971 workin' on a SGE Tribute? Its everyones happy place in the magic kingdom! Its not torture! ;)
Funnily enough, I am. Isolated it's a pretty good attraction. And part of the parks history. Just without the history and the politics.

I had some nice help from the attractions CMs to obtain lots of great footage of the whole attraction.

If only you stayed a bit longer as I'm here today.

It looks great and Tomorrowland looks cleaner overall. Even the underside of the PeopleMover tracks :)

Hopefully the managers of other lands take notice and eventually other parks.

It also has better targets that acknowledge when you hit them and a far better final battle sequence. Buzz is one of my favourite rides in WDW, riding Land's for the first time felt like a revelation. Totally up for your Heroes Duty suggestion though having two Ralph rides seems a little much for a independent land.

Someone else brought it up and I'm genuinely curious now how they'll handle the Stitch narration on the Peoplemover. Will it stay until the ride is closed? Only sound off when it's seasonally open?
