Apologies if this has been discussed, but is it possible the multi-color, programmable led lights installed on WEDWAY years back might finally be used in combination with the coming Tron canopy light shows?

That’s concerning. While I think the Astro Orbiter doesn’t necessarily have to go full Star Jets to work within the aesthetic they’re moving towards, the ride in its current state is still too distinctly TL’94 and shouldn’t go completely unaltered.

If they did I’d say remove the outer ring with the planets and the additional rings on the central spire, repaint and perhaps modify the spire and rockets a bit.

I see what @MadTeacup meant by them possibly reusing the leg supports. You can see where they took the blades off the legs and replaced it with a flat piece.

@marni1971 please tell us they're going to be replaced to match the roof supports and not be a half-"butt" solution.

Good thinking. If the planets aren’t going to spin ever again, why keep them?

Got off Omega. The sound queues seemed to synced up FINALLY and the re-entry tunnel and it's sound is much better. It actually plays at about half way instead of when you exit it!

I know right? Music still isn't audible at all but the sound cues seemed on point. But the re-entry tunnel was the one that got me. It was so nice still being in it and having the sound play!

Agreed! Should have gone with blue. That blue accent color on the supports would have better camouflaged the mismatched styles and provided a nice contrasty pop of color. I think blue supports would have also been complimentary to the rockwork.

I just don't like them at all, sorry. I don't care if they're white, grey, silver or whatever.
In my crazy imagination, they look like mechanical bug legs that might take the whole structure away! Very sci-fi, though.

I go straight to the Omni-Droid legs from The Incredibles. I think they should wrap these babies in mesh and do a smooth cement overlay to better match the roof supports. Wouldn't take much to ground out some bare metal to weld the mesh supports to.

And you could still do a interesting addition of color to them. Point is, the styles don't mesh at all.

Here's the thing (having lived through DL's Tomorrowland 98) the artists behind this KNOW it doesn't work. They're doing the best with the budget allotted.

I hope they prove this incorrect. Think of all the interesting ways to make a 70s style interesting again.

@marni1971 Are they still going to make any changes/upgrades to the people mover scenes? Or did that get cut for white paint? hahaha.
