Honestly it looked really cool and elegant with the towers and waterfalls flanking the entrance (although I’ve heard the falls caused the bridge to become slippery). It would be neat if they reimagined them.

Slippery, got moldy, water sprayed onto people, trash would clog up the fountains... they were a total PITA -- they looked cool though

Yes, they were the cherry on top. Only, when they were removed, we found out that they weren’t necessarily the cherry on top of the sundae, but simply a cherry on a plate.

there is better technology with fountains and waterfalls 48 years later....they could be done again and not have the issues they once did....and look much better as well. Take a look at the kinetic waterwalls at the Aria hotel... No issues there...and an exciting interplay of textures and patterns.

True but there's one thing that waterfall doesn't have to deal with, wind/outdoor environments. I don't doubt they could pull it off nowadays though.

They could always just project a waterfall on the buildings... works great (at night, anyway...).

There was talk when they did the silver rocks that there was going to be some special effects and digital mapping on them at night......which never happened... or was just a rumor....

That is lovely! A water feature like that somewhere in TL would be great.

At least Tokyo did not demolish theirs and did the graphics on them... But at this point they could probably get them to actually run again with the new tech... they are beautiful and iconic...
